Looking forward to the game. I never think Carolina will be good but they always surprise me. Rod B seems like a solid coach.

In a 7 game series.....
Rangers>>>>>Hurricanes
Devils>>>>>>Rangers
Hurricanes>>>>>>>Devils

Whoever gets the 1 seed likely gets to the conference finals. Need to gets all the points we can. Win this game.

Getting swept by the Devils last year really got to some people

It's about matchups. We matchup well against Carolina. Not so well against NJ. Carolina matches up well against NJ. That means whoever can win the metro has a huge advantage if the other teams finish 2-3. Does that mean we can't beat the Devils, Devils can't beat Carolina and Carolina can't beat us? Of course not.

First game after going 5-0-0 on the road. Not going to stay up for this one.

First game back is usually a mess. But, against division rival Carolina rather than a basement-dwelling opponent, maybe they play above comatose level.

Despite the wins, the Devils give up 3.63 goals per game, 27th in the league and 70% of their offense runs through one player.

They are gonna be right there in the end no doubt, but they have a lot to clean up if they are making any kind of run

Sir, we are playing the Hurricanes.

very surprised at Carolinas horrible early defensive stats...they're usually the stingiest team in the East with the Fish Sticks and Bruins not far behind
Not having Pesce obviously doesn't help that back end.

Different Devils team this year, different Rangers team this year. We can see how we match up when we play them.

That might be a bit misleading heading into tonight's action. The Canes in winning their last 3 games have only given up 4 goals.
