Trade Brown.....

Do people realize you can count on one hand, how many players over the last Seven seasons have:

Been in the top Five for hits, scored 20 goals or more, 50 points or more, drawn penalty's at a 2.2 rate per game.

No....Just no

have to agree with you on that one, Brown made some boneheaded plays but he also created scoring opportunities. Theres no reason for him to be traded now

trade him while everyone thinks hes a god haha... if we could do brown for kane you can't tell me you would say no. evander kane has a lot more value

When Evander Kane Captains a Team to a Stanley Cup.

Has Seven seasons or more of 20+ goals 50 + points 250 +hits or more each of those seasons....

Call me.

Cause right now all Evander Kane is a promising young player.

Want to know what is funny. Evander Kane also costs more than Dustin Brown.

Brown will not get his 20g 50p this season due to it being short.

But Brown will have a month were everything he puts to the net goes in.
It happens every season.

so Browns play is always mediocre for the majority of the season but a month each season he's a total beast? Sounds interesting but can other players have certain months where theyre a total beast too? :naughty:

I feel disinterested watching lately and I don't think it is because we are losing. It is hard to come away from the Cup as fan, can't imagine what its like for the players.

Hope they can get it going. Just got to put their heads down and grind thro it I guess. I like this team and I'm grateful they all came back, even Stoll and Penner who I felt earned another chance in LA. One game at a time now, it looks grim but they can still get it a going.

Props to Howard who actually stole the game for Detroit.

Sort of.

He plays a north, south game. He is not a flashy Winger.

Brown has usually two moths sometimes three. out of each year were he just goes on a tear.

It always happens when someone calls him out for being the Captain, blah blah,

Yet every year people expect a different Dustin Brown. I mean the guy is what he is. A streaky winger with leadership that hits people.

Why did people expect the Kings to dominate this regular season.

Dominate, and getting 2011 Terry Murray-like results, are two different things.

Playing better, controlling the puck more, etc, etc, all positive things. I think people are beyond moral victories though. It's just about the result now. It always was, but there was the lack of a championship buffering that gap.

It's Clifford being tied for the team lead in scoring 10 games in, when the Kings are 3-5-2, and averaging 2 goals a game again. That's a little annoying.

I think they'll make the playoffs, because past history says this group does, and I think the playoff results last year have to have some meaning. However, maybe recent history, and last season specifically, don't mean much. Just have to wait and see.

One thing the Kings were very fortunate of in the playoff's. Teams didn't make the Kings pay for mistakes.

This season the Kings are paying for every single one, it seems like.

I have a question that pertains to athletic training. Do you think there will ever be a time when females can be an athletic trainer in mens pro sports leagues, the NHL specifically?

Hard to say. It's certainly possible, but it is easier said than done. I would think it would be unlikely still for quite sometime though.

That's what I figured, im 16 right now and a junior in highschool, im extremely interested in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine and I am in the process of looking up colleges where I can major in AT/SM . Ideally if I major in them I would like to work In the top leagues but unfortunately women aren't exactly likely to receive a job in bigger fields over men who are qualified for the same job.

Something less important, but why do networks still use purple to identify us? NBC's scoreboard graphic still had us in purple. Wasn't purple eliminated from our current team colors?

Cuz we're awesome and so is the color purple? :D I have no clue, im still learning abt the Kings organization considering I've been a fan for a whole like 2 or 3 days

At least they got our logo right! But I noticed that too. I think it's just a holdover from previous years. Plus black might get lost on the screen.

Sutter didn't seem to upset with the Game.

His post game comments were positive. Said Kopitar looked like he had some jump.

Also said Quick needs to save that puck at the end there.

Wants to watch Ellerby's usage (not familiar with the conference).

Liked the Richards line.

Sutter seem pleased.

damacles,

Kings 16-4 in the playoffs and could have easily been 16-2. They were not fortunate they dominated.
Quit trying find things to say to display your disappointment in the team this year.

The Western Conference is strong and the Kings will really have to step it up and I hope they do.

Well im glad sutter is pleased. on another note, that is completely unrelated, why is it so hard to find a college?

All in all, he's right. It's just that his team needs to stop finding ways to lose games and they must capitalize on their scoring chances.

One thing I didn't like is that Howard had an easy time seeing the puck, not enough bodies in front of him and the Kings were just taking shots coming down a lane. They need to get him moving and put traffic in front of him (and just about any goalie in this league).

Aside from that, this was one of if not the best performances the team has had this season.

Pleased or not, it didnt give us 2 points.

Start winning ASAP.

Some of my notes:
I thought Ellerby played well, considering it was his first game. He made a few turnovers but it was expected.

This team needs Mitchell badly.

On those rebounds, we gotta find a way to elevate the puck. I know we scored two goals by not elevating it but imagine if we did elevated those juicy rebounds!

I think JB deserves a start against St. Louis. Rest Quicky for a game and let him regain his mental confidence.

Mid Feb/March will be critical for us to start winning. If we don't then the jackets will say Thank you for Seth Jones/Mackinnon.
