Not sure what's up with Scuderi this year. Speed on the outside is really giving him issues. Last year it seemed like that shot that got by Quick would have never been on net with the way Scuderi uses his stick. That one step makes a difference because now those shots are coming in.

All in all Quick has not been the same this year, other than a couple games he has seemed off.

Yeah, let's call it how it is. Quick has been poor this year (amongst the bottom 5 goalies statistically and with our eyes). I keep saying he'll get over the rust but the back injury may be making things difficult.

What if... The back injury made him into a better player...

Kopitar (among Clifford) was the best forward in this period. He was trying hard, backchecking and making plays. But Brown ****ing sucks. I can't believe that he had as same amount of points as Kopi. He just don't know how to score.

Not really about finishing. Jimmy Howard is playing amazing lol not much they can do. Usually Quick will go toe-to-toe with another goalie but not today

Sure it is. For example Brown has to elevate that shot on the pass from Kopitar, not give Howard a chance to get a toe on it. Small things make a big difference.

We don't have the cap room for that

We have more than enough. Sitting at $7.5m, $14.5m with Penner and Gagne potentially coming off the books this year. A lot of RFA's to sign, but the only significant raise maybe going to Voynov, and he wouldn't command much more than $2m. Voynov would likely take Richardson's money, which would leave us at around $14m.

As for Quick, he's given up a lot of those dot to board shots on the rush over the course of his career, so I'm not sure it's really indicative of anything.

The cap is going down to $64.3 million next season. The Kings are going to be tight up against that. They have 12 players signed at almost $49 million, which means they have 11 roster spots to fill for about $15 million. Perry is not gonna happen.

Quick will be fine, we just need to rely on and trust Bernier more. There is no need to have Quick start 95% of games. No one in the league is doing that. If hall of famers and potential hall of famers aren't doing it, Quick doesn't need to be.

Are you going to bring back Scuderi? That's going to be at least 3 million. So bringing back Scuderi and letting Penner and Gagne go leaves us with $11m and only 13 guys signed, Perry isn't happening
