Aside from the one huge misfortune, the Lafreniere injury, this game has actually been really nice. Good play by both sides, the Canadians woke up a bit late.

I hope we have a rematch of this later in the tournament and I think it'll be a much closer game. I had these two teams as the favorites, and we're seeing now that neither team can really bully the other team out of the game.

Maybe if you’re a Russian fan. Haven’t seen a Canadian team fold this bad in a long. The Laf injury just adds insult to injury.

This is the definition of a bullying

Russia has earned the 5-0 lead, they were the aggressors in the game. Lot of comments here are disappointing. Its like people here know nothing about hockey.

Re: Byram, 18 and half yrs old. If you can't see the obvious talent, you're blind. Defensively he needs more experience and to get a little stronger. He should really be on the top PP with Addison. Not a fan of 4 forward unit with this roster.

What are you talking about?

Most people are giving Russia the credit they deserve.

That's always the silver lining to losing early in the tournament.

I had the same thought when Russia lost its first game to the Czechs. If you're gonna get slapped, get slapped early. And then get mad.
Exactly this... Russia started the last Olympics with a loss too. Ended quite well for them.

Having said that... Team Canada is a phenomenal team. I expect to see them in the semi's too!

Canada should be embarrassed. Letting these guys celebrate every goal likes it the medal winning goal. Bahl just gets pushed out of the way giving denisenko a free look, isnt that kid 6'6 240? Lmao what a joke

I hate to disagree but Canada has looked pretty bad out there.

Russia has a huge part in that, but it doesn’t meant it’s entertaining unless you like seeing the Canadians get owned.

Canada has been bullied all over the ice, and that includes physically. We’ve had a few big hits but in the Russian zone, Canada can’t really get much going.

Embarrassing game by Canada. Started with poor goaltending and has leeched to the rest of the team now.

Oh well. Bad game, it happens. In the grand scheme of the tournament it doesnt have to mean anything if we right the ship.
