Russia is opportunistic. Always have been. You make an error, and Canada has made plenty, and they will capitalize.

The first goal should not have counted. The 3rd was just pitiful goaltending. Now a 5 on 3. This will all be for the best - get it out of our system and bring the team together.

Daws does need to step up, tho. He has NOT been good.

The number of times Canada has thrown the puck back to the point with no one there.

Hard to Blame Laf there. Dude was 1 on 5, delayed as long as he could and had zero puck support in the zone.

Canada was probably gassed couldn’t get up the ice and/or changing on the play. That’s what happenes when you get severly outplayed. Nothing works or goes right for you

How? They have been pretty good, Denisenko missed an open net before the 3rd goal, Marchenko was set up for a good shot here. Just because they don't score on every PP doesn't mean they suck.

While Canada can certainly score three goals, the real question is whether they can prevent Russia from scoring more.

GG RUS, CAN is very overrated and without their regular help with hometown refs will not win this tournament. Probably the worst or second worst goaltending tandem in the tournament which will be difficult or impossible to overcome.

Sorry dude, but Harley wouldnt be falling over in the corners when the Russians applied slight pressure on a forecheck. He also wouldnt be changing lines when we have the O-Zone.

That was about as ugly of a period As it gets. Russia is on pace to out shoot us 48 to 21. Hopefully Canada makes some good adjustments going into the second because that was nasty

Rodrigue should be in the net. He’s been this teams goalie at most other international tournaments up until now, played with a lot of these guys at previous tourneys. I guess in Canada’s eyes however being 7ft tall is more important then previous international experience.
