Why do you keep saying things like this. Clearly you haven't watched Soderberg in the last and have too high of expectations for him. He's as good as he's ever been. Why would you expect him to be better all of a sudden this year at age 30?

I haven't watched much Soderberg or Avs in general due to school work, but every glimpse I get of him he looks bad. Everyone else complains about him too.

I didn't know exactly what to expect out of Sodaberg but I'm not impressed, he's decent I guess. I dunno, at 4.5 I want a little more. He's good in his own end but jeeze he needs to learn how to take a draw. Nonetheless, he's not the problem whatsoever right now.

His FO percentage will get better.

Oh look.. the Avs played like they gave a h00t... for a whole 30 seconds, ... at the end of the game....

So, whats the creative saying this year for tanking for the top prospect?

I also always liked him.

I still wonder why we traded him. He was not that old and we only got a 2nd for a long tenured Av.

Not really complaining because we never traded our vets during a rebuild and that sucked. But I always wondered why he of all people was the exception.

Yeah, I never understood it either. We had Cumiskey obviously who had a very high ceiling... but I doubt they were counting on him to replace JML. It was his (assumed) locker room presence, his tenacity, his love of this team (I think I remember him taking a discount but am too lazy to go look it up, regardless he always seemed to be an Av fan) and his actually having played with Sakic... Always thought Drury, Hinote, Tanguay all should have retired as Avs. I still hope Tanguay will.

Not aimed at you but, I just moved from the east coast to CO from Philly. I watch a lot of east coast hockey since all my friends are fans, Soderberg has looked TERRIBLE compared to what I remember. Maybe it's the new team? New city? New travel schedule?

I'm actually one of the people the people that doesn't believe the season is over (hyperbole imo) especially with the huge amount of player turnover. Beauch, comeau, skille, grigs, zads, gormley, soda all in one year? I feel like I'm forgetting someone. It's gonna take the guys a bit to adjust. Sorry but while I may be critical I refuse to join the sky has already fallen into **** crowd

Its so hard to figure out why there seems to be a lack of passion with this team...showing up for 2 minutes at the end of the game already down 2 doesn't cut it. The team struggled in all 3 zones tonight and it just baffles me...is it Roy's strategy and he's too stubborn to change it up or are the players just not executing or a mix of both?

Keep the O'Reilly talk out of here.

I just basically defended Duchene (which was hard in his current state) and talked about what he needs to do and one sentence about ROR gets my post deleted. Even though I was already writing before you made that statement.

Yeah. I am outta here for a while.

Good night.

Agree about the PP. As terrible as we were, this is another game where the PP could have saved us. You get one on the 5 on 3 and who knows how the game goes. Ah well......

I really don't see a reason to get remotely excited about anything now. There's no McDavid and there's no prospect of winning. On top of that I think I flunked an important midterm exam.

Life sucks right now.

The older you are, as long as you've been keeping at a profession, a hobby, w/e... the more consistent you will be. You will still fluctuate in that because you're only human but this is just common sense.

This team is still primarily made up of younger players. Its simple to me but then again I'm not ruling out the possibility that a team even younger could play consistently either. I'm just saying it makes sense given the average age of this team's core.

I thought Liles had another good game against us. Maybe it's just that everyone who goes to Toronto ends up sucking, because I still think he's a more than serviceable 3rd pairing PP QB

Soderberg is decent. A goode centre option. Slightly better than John Mitchell in my book.

Look, he has never been a 4.75M player and never will be, so it's pretty unfair to have those expectations on him. Not his fault he was handed that contract.
