For the rest, I dont care about this loss. In February nobody remembers this game anymore.

We HOPE that's true for sure... cause if we do, it's "we should have known the wheels were falling off when..."

(Just to be clear, I think Frolov is right, and was about to do a simple QFT, when the thought occurred to me that, while not LIKELY, it's possible.)

Lots of shots put Pittsburgh's way but not a whole lot of great changes. I like the shots from the point but more bodies need to be in front of the net. I would like to see Andy A park his ass in front of the net more as he has not impressed me yet (but I have not given up hope, he is young and will still come around).
After the Willaims Malkin scrum did Sutter make a diving motion? Takes a lot for Sutter to do something like that.
LA did a terrible job staying out of the box in the first. I want to blame the refs or say the pens were diving but really LA just handed them their PP chances.

We lost two in a row. That hasn't happened since May.

We're all gonna die!

I was hoping for a point at least.

A fourth of the team out and no Quick.

Playing from two goals down thanks to the Pens all mighty PP.

Not gonna worry about the last couple of games. At least we are not playing Western conference teams that can double up points on us.

Yeah, no screens or second chances are what bothered me. With the 'grit' we have out there in our third and fourth lines we really need people to get to the net. I was hoping Andreoff at least would be that spark plug but he looks really tentative, like he's thinking too much. Not bad, and he's not a liability, but right now he's just 'there'. Not coming down on him, it's the learning curve of course--but I expect more out of Nolan (especially if he wants to stay in this league) in that regard.

People usually are saying "don't panic, wait for the 20 game mark" at this point.

I don't even think there's anything to panic about this year. We should have ice blood in our veins by now, same as the players. It will fall into place.

And Malkin said Williams wanted to go. Pffft both guys wanted to.
@reallisa: JWill on the Malkin moment: 'He was frustrated w/something. I was frustrated w/something. I didn't like some of the things he was doing.."
@reallisa: More JWill: "He asked me to go and I said, 'Sure.' I've gotta learn how to stand up first. It's most embarrassing when u drop the gloves .."
@reallisa: JWill: "...and only get two minutes for it. That's the embarrassing part."

LOL. Love Williams.

The Kings have no offense outside of that line. That's why I'm so hesitant to start complaining about specific players.

Shows how important Kopi is to the team. Outside of that 70s line, who are now drawing all the best checkers, tehre is NO ONE to carry the puck into the zone, and all we are doing is dump and change (not even chase). We can't get pressure established, the other team comes back at us, and rinse and repeat. We break out of our zone, cross the red line 1 on 4, and goodbye puck.

(I actually think Lewis back in helps a lot with that on the bottom 6).

I'm not sure I want to see Brown "making plays" at the blue line. Agree it's probably better then dump/chase for the most part, but not sure they Kings have the personnel to do it.

Also this is a great start to the year... the record is still good despite the Kings not being able to put up points consistently... Most important the Kings have uncovered a large flaw... mostly what does the team look like without Gaborik.... Now it's up to the team to step up or Lombardi needs to address the situation.
