The yotes are awful. Bet the Pens make this not close, very fast

4. No, we love our sticktoitivness at least for one game

These are the teams the older generation would win by 11 or win by 3.. 11 to 8.

I wonder if Penguins can learn new tricks?

Always hate seeing these cupcake matchups in October. Perennial playoffs teams often have sleepy starts (recall last year the Pens smoked the Lightning while missing Geno/Sid in the opener), and the Yotes will have a lot of youthful energy, if not talent. Better to run into these teams in March/April when they are 40 games out of the playoffs and have almost lost the will to live.

Still should be a win for the Pens, but doubt it will be a gimmie.

I don't like the whole "it's October/November" stuff because this team, in this division, needs to be keeping pace all season. That being said, it's game 1 and nobody knows how anybody's gonna start the season. Don't really care if it's a win or loss, just happy to have hockey to throw on and veg out to again.

I’ll also say 4-1 Yotes…we’ll look slow and they’ll be a lot of gnashing of teeth about how old we look trying to beat the trap and an AHL goalie, and the season will be written off early, with hair guy coming back to post about how many turnovers #71 made…lol

100% fully agree.

There's some wild stats at American Thanksgiving and at New Years about chances at making playoffs.

We needs points.
