Last year he was a backup and playing in front of the best defensive team in the NHL. So I wouldn't really consider what happened last year as he wasn't counted on to be a major factor. And this year he has only played 34 games. Nice stats but until he plays a full season as a starter you cant really judge him.

which is why it's based on ability, he needs more of a resume to get to top 5

And goals saved above expected is independent of defence, he's just an amazing goalie

Of course. He was their big goalie acquisition and brought them here, need to ride or die with him

100% this. Tavares from point blank. Nylander undefended in the slot. Marner on a breakaway. Tipped shot on the 5th goal. None of those were remotely softies. Three of them were by stars and due to mistakes by his teammates. The other was bad luck.

And as I type this Leafs get another goal due to pathetic D.

Ullmark is a great goalie and was not remotely an issue tonight. No goalie can mask all the mistakes the Sens made.

Sens lack of discipline is beyond embarrassing. Their inability to kill a penalty is equally as embarassing. Ulmark is embarassing. Brady sucks.

If the US flag is not on the jersey, Brady doen't care.
