Exactly! Mature playoff hockey requires sacrifice. Got to give up the body and not be selfish. Sens are still Learning. Their coach needs to shut up on the bench. He’s got a really young and inexperienced (at playoff hockey) core. He needs to be calm.

Truth is in the playoffs you have to overcome bad calls. The sens just need to fix that pk if they are going to play risky. I don't like a few of the calls but a couple of them were legit. It's really just not worth taking any chances when you can't stop the other teams pp. The leafs are up 4-1 but they haven't looked that spectacular 5 v5 other than their goalie. He's been clutch. Could be 4-3 without him in net.

exactly. That's the problem.. In the firsr a Senator crosschecked Tavares 4 times in the back. No penalty when usually the refs get fed up and call a penalty after the 3rd one. So that should set the tone but then the rules change in the next period.

Ottawa is going to struggle to win a single game in this series. They will be better as the years go on, but as of right now they are a young, overmatched team. This will be a short series.

I'm expecting 7 leafs have a terrible killer instinct in playoffs last 20 years.

IMO Washington rode a wave of emotion with Ovi's goal record chase, it's over now and they aren't the 1st seed most people think they are. I think they will struggle in the playoffs and be out fairly early. This was very unexpected of them this year and the clock struck midnight as far as I'm concerned.

I like the mesh in Montreal and Hutson is a budding superstar. I think the goaltending all the way around is far from elite. Canadiens are tough to beat in 3rd with a lead. Great on faceoffs and play great team shutdown d

Shoving your knee into someones ass to knock them down is a penalty 100% of the time.

It was his thigh that he shoved into his ass. And I disagree with it being a penalty even in regular season. For playoffs that's an insanely soft call.

Sens were fine 5 on 5 in the 2nd......Bad penalties killed them .......The Batherson one at the end was a bad call though..........

Pretty standard game 1 stuff. Refs want to “send a message” that they’re not going to allow any funny business. But we all know by like mid game 3 there will be funny business aplenty. By game 5 there will be no rules.
