Something has to give doesn't it? He looks completely uninterested in playing hockey, and it's not going unnoticed.

Looks can be deceiving.

I posted a clip in the Drouin thread where Marty assured that he'd be working with Drouin in the next few days with a view to get him to draw back in as early as this Friday's game.

Either Marty did a good job selling something else or it is as he stated.

That pic with Drouin sitting at the end of the bench, was misleading, the way Marty explained it. He asked that Drouin be part of the PP meetings so that he would be up to speed when activated.

Pretty sure we’re losing this even if the Laughs are extremely overrated and built to fail in the playoffs as usual, I just hope we keep it close and the kids look good.

Xhekaj bulldozing Ron Jeremy Jr. would be pretty neat too, or anything to make their clown fans throw a tantrum really. That would be a victory to me.

Opening night! I know it's going to be a long season but still exciting to see all the young players in the lineup.

Uninterested and clearly not in top shape to compete at the highest level. Maybe the Habs waive him if he's not committed to being at his best. There are tons of guys who would kill for his spot.

AX will hit the tree and many Leafs will fall ;)

Canada is the only place in the world where the Leafs fall in the Autumn and in the Spring.

I'm hoping for this:

Slaf, Dach and Caufield score. We lose 5-3.

Xhekaj terrorizes Matthews/ Marner all night and the Leafs show how toothless they are with no response.

Simmonds back in the mix for the Leafs after this game perhaps? :sarcasm:

Only chance we go is staying out of the box and Allen is at his absolute best.

I hope Xhekaj, and the other Habs D men lay a beating on the Leafs top 6 tonight.. So humiliating that the Leafs are force to call up Simmonds and Clifford... and both of them get claimed by Arizona and retire.

As long as Drouin remains a member of this team, Marty's job is to keep working with him. Problem is we're talking about a veteran player who shouldn't need hand-holding to do his job.

Drouin can recuperate or he can play; he can't continue doing both at the same time.

I noticed this a few years ago. I'm convinced he just doesn't want to be a hockey player.

He has all the talent in the world but zero drive. The interest just isn't there. Reminds me a lot of Daigle.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he retires by the time he's 30.
