It's nothing, could be other way around.Pens will be on the second game of a back to back so they better take advantage of that.
Why?!?!Husso confirmed as starter via Bultman
The Wings believe he is the goalie on the roster with the highest upside. If they can get him going, healthy and consistent, it'll be worth it. If not, warm up the merry-go-round.Why?!?!
While his preseason games were encouraging, you know he's gonna let in one or two soft goals like he always does. Ugh.
I think this was when he had waiver eligibility. Now that he's out of that, they have to have him in the lineup or lose him to another team.I hate to poke this particular bear, but we heard for a long time that if Berggren was going to crack the lineup, it had to be in the top nine. And he's now on the opening night lineup...as a fourth liner.
(Not advocating anything. Just pointing out an inconsistency.)
Being on the 4th line (especially this 4th line) is a pretty bad sign for his future in Detroit, imo. I mean, look at this line:I hate to poke this particular bear, but we heard for a long time that if Berggren was going to crack the lineup, it had to be in the top nine. And he's now on the opening night lineup...as a fourth liner.

Defensively suspect players are only allowed in our top 9 if they broke into the league on a different team.
Wow I wanted him to be as good as I wanted him to be.And which decision makers of the current team were around then?
None I imagine, but you made me think of him so now you all get to suffer. And which decision makers of the current team were around then?

Teams all over the league toss kids that can score and not much else into their scoring lines. Hard to prove much of anything if the bulk of your NHL experience is with Veleno and Czarnik. And he scored 15 goals in such a deployment. He could easily drop 20g 30p this season with 2nd line PP2 icetime. But he's gotta be a grinder first...Coincidentally, they’ve also each scored 40 goals in a season before. I think folks would have a much easier time stomaching his empty calorie play if there was any evidence that he could produce like Kane, Tarasenko, or DeBrincat, even out of their (first two) primes.
Looking forward to another season of leading the league in fewest rookie games played! Makes perfect sense for a rebuilding team
Berggren is on the 4th line and Johansson is in the press box. As long as they keep playing placeholder plugs over the future of the team, we’ll keep sucking, people here will keep touting the Yzerplan, and we’ll keep watching other teams in the Atlantic pass us.I'll give a slight defense of the organization here (but only slight!). The roster is undoubtedly younger than last year - Ed is not only up, he's going to be in the top 4, and Berggren and AlJo are both up as well.
Not defending Kasper not being on the opening day lineup, but frankly I was a lot more upset last year.

I wonder if we lead the league in fewest qualified rookie games again this year? Such a great honor for a rebuilding team...
Did you forget you already said this, or what?Looking forward to another season of leading the league in fewest rookie games played! Makes perfect sense for a rebuilding team
