Yeah, the kid played 1 game and only 8 mins against the best team in the NHL

Our third line has been no existent all year, worth a shot IMO and if you play backes with him they can flip spots if needed

Why even bother playing JFK at all then in the last game. 8 mins of useless ice time just to burn a year on his entry level contract is beyond dumb. Only sense it makes is if they are planning to play him in the playoffs. (Not saying I agree with that, but thats the way I see it. If it were me, I would have waited til next year. Especially if MacAvoy is coming up and burning a year too.)

It's funny looking back at how regimented the lines were the last few times we made the playoffs. Now, outside of Bergeron/Marchand, it feels like there's nothing set in stone if things go even a bit wrong. Before it was like pulling teeth to split up our lines. Probably was for the better before because they had that chemistry, but still interesting to compare those Bruins to today.

If MacAvoy looks as out of place as JFK did Bruins are in deep ****,not expecting the next Bobby Orr or antyhthing but JFK looked totally Lost out there.

The ONLY thing that makes any sense is if there was a handshake deal that they'd burn the first year in exchange for him turning pro when he did. Looking like more ****-poor asset management from this organization at the moment.

Cripeee. This.

It is obvious to me that JFK would have remained in school unless the Bruins agreed to burn the first year of his ECL. So what is wrong with that people? He was going to stay at BU otherwise. If he helps out next year, awesome!!!

We got a player to turn professional. Bruins property for a number of years. If he is as good as advertised? Awesome!

Maybe if the salary cap didn't exist and Seguin had 0 interest in ever being a top line centre.

I guess in theory for this year we could have, but after this year all 6 of them will be making $6mm+. Someone would have had to get traded.

Well if the Bruins had kept Seguin, there are no guarantees how the 2013-14 season turns out, meaning the Bruins might of advanced past Round 2, and quite possible Pastrnak isn't even available when the Bruins would of selected in the 1st round that year.

So it's impossible to definitively say the Bruins could have both Seguin AND Pastrnak.

I wonder if Cehlarik will get a chance in the playoffs? He looked really good with Pastrnak and Krejci, I would try him there in game 1 and have Stafford slide down to the Spooner line, that way you only have to dress one of Beleskey or Schaller for the 4th line until Acciari comes back.

I think Cehlarik got injured down in Providence and am not sure he is available.

that Z/Quaider pairing has me concerned but I understand it, this will allow CM to hopefully settle in a bit but with the B`s not having the final change, you can bet Boucher will try to send out his top troops vs the kid

Said to say after Chara I think K.Miller is our second best D-Man right now. He has been a totally different player lately. Rushing the puck just looking more confident I guess. The past two years he would fumble it in his skates or give it up. I like Mcavoy with him if not Chara.

the spooner line scares me too. I would prefer Backes there so we are strong down the middle through all the lines.

he looked really good for 2 of the games. a bunch of the others were suspect.
