It's weird for me to see Oettinger starting the season looking calm and settled in already, but I'm not complaining. Looking like a seasoned vet.

Getting the contract sorted out probably helps, can go out and play without having to worry about that.

Couldn't watch the game and only watched the highlight. Team looks good .

What i don't understand is what the hell is with that commentary. Leah Hextalls voice is one thing ( don't like it but whatever ) but come the hell on at least get the players names right . It's one thing with rookies/new players like Johnston/Dellandrea but Robertson ? Dude is the Stars best player and scored 40 goals last season and his name is a normal english name. It's not that hard .

Also Lundkvist is quite the smal boi

Didn't get to watch it, the site we probably have all used to watch delayed games doesn't have the games up quite yet, but wow, 4 goals in the opening game! The highlights were good to watch, I can tell from the 5 minutes that those ad boards are a f***ing nightmare. Wyatt Johnston scoring in his opening game is awesome to see.

How did Dellandrea look?

Also, Klingberg redemption tour is on so far, pair of assists and a positive +/- (I hate it, but the hockey men love it). It occurred to me that of all the teams doing a rebuild, I think Anaheim has the best pool of prospects playing in the NHL right now and actually accomplishing things. A pair of potential top line centers, some solid scorers, and maybe a couple of interesting high potential d-men. I hate to say it, but the Ducks are gonna be good soon.

How did Dellandrea look?

He made some solid plays but also seemed a bit less... caffeinated than I am used to from him? I expect part of it was asking him to show some restraint and not take penalties but I missed his Roussel-like energy from previous games.

Not a terrible showing by any means but didn't really stand out either.

We already do, friend. Players of his ilk; pure effort with physicality and skill to boot are an absolute treasure. He has many of the same qualities that a young Jamie Benn had.
