Wow...Panger interviewing #20 Steen. He's back. He looks good. Actually, did he have cosmetic surgery? Has all his teeth.

Colorado has 5 of their forwards out tonight. Their healthy lineup is comfortably better than ours top to bottom. Their top line and 4th line blow ours out of the water, and our middle 6 can only compete if Tarasenko is a valuable player again
They’re only missing 3, and one of those is the great Val Nichushkin.

If anything happens to their top line they are toast. And their 4th line sucks.

Not sure why this would make you happy, but sure. I actually think forward depth is our biggest strength, but I think all of Colorado (yeah, they took some punches to there depth, but it’s still good, and the top line 2 lines are still brutal), Toronto, Florida, Tampa, Carolina, Washington, and Minnesota (honestly, I think our top 9’s are comparable, maybe even lean our ways, but they have the best 4th line in hockey to me, would be better then some teams 3rds) are teams that forwards can go deep and be productive up and down the line. Also, it’s hard to quantify teams like Boston and Edmonton here, whose depth sucks but top line overwhelms so much.

Their forward depth is still a blatant flaw, but some of their young guys are pretty good. We'll see how they come along. But they're a dynamic team even with their top guys out because of their team speed and offense from their defensemen. The kind of team that can still rack up regular season wins with big guys out, but are going to be in a lot more trouble if those guys are injured or don't perform in the playoffs.

The Blues are not as good, but it's not so much because of Rantanen and MacKinnon or forward depth (which currently leans significantly towards the Blues), it's because of the skill on D.

they arnt going anywhere with kuemper as their starter in the playoffs, lol. thought people knew that after his tenure with the wild but the Avs sure do love to dumpster dive for goalie.

Love to see Neal and Tarasenko come out on fire. The 3rd line could be lethal.

Normally I wait until an hour after the game starts and fast forward through all the talking heads and commercials. I couldn't wait for the season to start to do that tonight. I am watching it live. Good god are the talking heads and pre-game BS intolerable.
