GDT: Game 1 - New York Rangers vs Tampa Bay Lightning - 7:30pm EST - ESPN, ESPN+

I’m just damn excited that hockey is back. This game is ultimately not going to tell us anything; reactions and expectations should both be tempered, but I’m excited for another year of Rangers hockey, NHL milestones, scoring races, highlights, etc. I do expect a solid season for us, probably not another ECF appearance - though I do feel this could be our year as well - but I think we establish ourselves as a young team in its window and knocking on the door, at the worst.

That's not how this works, if we lose the most active thread until next game day will be "this is a bad hockey team"
