I was reading somewhere that he spent a ton of time working on his shot this summer.
I immediately thought to myself: "what an obvious, giant, waste of time"

He should have been 100% focused on skating.
With his current skating and couple first steps, he'll never be able to get into a position to use his new array of shooting techniques anyway...
