This is where sitting our Salda and Jenik looks even stupider.. or Lauko on line 3. I'm not sure what Varada is trying to accomplish by splitting up all our forwards and stretching everything thin... we have some offence so use it.

Beside Kurashev Tim Berni and Jeremi Gerber look really solid for Switzerland.

True. But in my eyes he isn't the ideal PP1 Quaterback, beside that really solid. The Ds looked pretty fine overall so far, and 4 of them will probably be back next year. Not bad.

The Czechs look stronger and more skilled overall. The difference is bigger than I expected it.

I thought Müller had a fine 1st periode, Lehmann too. And with Gerber, he could improve his skating, but beside that, a prospect I liked for quite some time.

Czech offense is struggling, 1 goal from play vs Slovakia and 2 vs US in per-tournament and only 1 here against the Swiss. I blame the D not supporting offense sufficiently.

Indeed, very solid. Berni reminds me a lot of Diaz, very smart, about the same size.

Why separate Necas and Zadina? They were so dominant last year. It's not like they're facing a shutdown pair on Canada. They could be dominating the Swiss.

This game really shows how valuable Chytil would be. Give a solid 1-2 in terms of lines. Also, this defence isn't very good. Why isn't Salda playing?

Funny enough, I don't know if Canada has a shutdown pairing but it is strange how they have separated them after last year.

And also Zadina is totally killed there with Machala and Hladonik. I didn't want to judge before the game but clearly Machala, Hladonik and Hrabik are just holding Necas, Kaut and Zadina back. And big time. It needs to change.

Been a great 3rd. Hate to be the favorite team facing the Swiss in the quarters. Swiss showing their close game against Canada in the prelims was no fluke.

Czechs obviously better but Swiss are gonna be a handful.
