Big + Dostal
Big - Defense (we are getting nowhere near medal rounds with this kind of "support"")

Also leaving Zadina on the line with two undrafted players was just stupid. I hope Varada will admit it and change the lines.

Did anyone spot Zadina’s reaction to the winning goal. Everyone else celebrated and he just stood there and didn’t even smile.

Playing for his own points only possibly...
He's probably disappointed in the game, I would be. He was on the bench a lot more than he hoped. Stupid penalties.

What a tough game. The Swiss had a tremendous third period, the Czechs looked nervous, were losing too many pucks. Everybody must acknowledge, how mature and disciplined game the Swiss played. 3 on 3 it was All the Czechs then, but during the third period, Dostál really saved the game for his team. Both goalies deserved to be the stars of the game indeed.

Yeah for sure I would be too. Either way he should be glad they won. I really do think his ego might have had a knock, going pointless against the swiss although playing really well.

That was a poor play in the end by Eggenberger. You should never give up the puck so easily in a 3-on-3.

That said, the physically and skillwise more mature and talented team found the space to show its advantages in OT.

So congrats to the Czechs for a hard-fought win!

He looked pissed they scored I thought he should of been out there but it didn’t matter sucks he doesn’t seem like a team guy

Wings AGM just lauded him a couple weeks ago for his drive to improve, competitive ways, and that he’s a student of the game. And there have been countless other reports that the kid is ruthless in his standards for himself. I’d bet he’s deep in thought about what he could do better instead of being pissed he didn’t get the points.

Eggenberger, Gross, Muller, Kurashev all standouts for Swiss
Czechs are obvious with Necas, Zadina, Dostal, Kaut

You didn't mention any of our D men? Oh wait, they all shit the bed!!!

Serious question... if we replaced our starting 6 D with the ones on team Kazakhistan... how much worse would we actually be?

This Czech defense is possibly the worst I have ever seen. Play like this against Canada and you get destroyed 0:10 or something.
The only positives from this game are Dostal, finally a goalie who is capable of keeping his team in it, and Zadina, who unfortunately got bad support on his line and had to it all alone.

I mean, he said last year he'd die on the ice to try and win bronze for his country. Is this sour grapes from the Czechs eliminating Finland?

I don't dare to blame him. Perphaps he was just disappointed of the game, he wanted the win in 60 minutes. Also, he allowed couple of needless individual giveaways. As far as I know from people who were around his youth team (Pardubice), he is very ambitious and sometimes it binds his hand a little bit. He needs to consolidate his game, and I believe Varaďa and Eliáš will talk to him in this vein.

You might actually be on to something  Should we start granting citizenship?

Kaut and Necas had a shift in the offensive zone covering the point in the 2nd while the D pair was doing whatever below the goal line, I think we might be better off playing 5 forwards at this point

No, not at all. Why is it that there always has to be an agenda behind everything? It really stuck out that he was really disappointed for his teams or his own performance while every single other player celebrated.

Just sticks out for me I don’t know about you guys...

Last year I said our defensive play is immature and hoped it would get better the following year. Didnt happen. Not even a little

I'm really happy we have a two day break ahead of the game against Russia. We have a whole lot of things to improve till then.

Thank god he's already been drafted cause by the time Varada is done with him, he'd go in round 4! Hey Filip, here's two guys from the tier 2 Czech division... good luck!

Allright that explains it. It really seemed like he wasn’t happy with his own performance, but I still really think it’s odd to act like that.

They have that one player who is a regular in the KHL. That alone would probably be an upgrade on our core.

You so sure about that pal ? There was nothing to celebrate for the Czechs, unacceptable effort - they all know very well how the Swiss play and still they come out with no concentration, they're lazy and make sloppy plays - the 3rd period was by far the worst hockey i've seen a team play this season ...

Yeah exactly, why would there be an agenda? He is pissed with a ****ty game, no need to look any deeper. He has no agenda either.
Every single one of his teammates celebrate, don’t you think that he is overthinking the pointless night that he had? I do...
