Wennberg won't make the trip. Looks like Wild Bill will play. Wouldn't be surprised if CMac goes tomorrow either.

Also, get Golo in the lineup for somebody, anybody.

That's what I was going to say. Bench Bob and one of Connauton/Prout, and put C-Mac and Golo in there. I'm excited to see Wild Bill.

I don't understand why Prout is playing over Cody. Yes, Prout can hit, but our entire team hits. Prout seriously cannot make a pass or hit a windup to save his life.

TR and or CH have a man crush with Prout. I agree with you, it makes no sense.

Agreed. The passing is the real killer. I'd love Prout if he could play his game AND pass. But bad passing for a d-man is just unacceptable.

That was one heck of an exciting game until that little meltdown at the end . The first period hitting was really exciting stuff . As an outsider, i like your club, and think the Jackets will be just fine this year, you have a good spirited bunch of players on your club......... good luck !

Team played pretty dang good tonight . Wennberg injury hurt our line chemistry . This loss was solely on bob . His lapses after a goal are becoming concerning

It's also disappointing to keep making the same errors repeatedly which point to a coaching lapse imo.

I agree. And Joey doesn't have the lungs for double-shifting. Too bad Wild Bill wasn't dressed tonight, because I think he's a fine substitute.

I'm curious what we'll do with the lines if Wennberg is out long-term. The lines are partly built around the Hartnell-Wennberg connection, so this ups the chances that TR reaches for the old line-o-matic. I hope he hasn't forgotten that Karlsson did have 2 pts centering Hartnell for a few games last year.

we've all seen this before...................many times.

I don't care how bad the D's been; Bob's gotta get at least one of those.

Such is the life of a Blue Jacket fan. Watching the perfect scripted ending only to suddenly have your heart ripped out in the end.

It shouldn't be too hard to replace Wennberg, he's not really a key player yet.. The CBJ need to consider their defense and goal tending right now.. As you said, some of the defense is suspect and Bob can be horribly inconsistent.

Agreed. Let's start by putting Golo in there!

I don't get all the hate for Prout.....he knocked a number of Rangers on their ass tonight....hell Joey gave the puck away carelessly more than Prout even came close to doing tonight

It was Cotton who made as bad of of play you will ever see a D man make that led to their second goal.....gave the puck to them and then skated right on by ......that play changed all the momentum and the outcome of the game

Lapses after a goal far precede Bob. It has been an issue in the team DNA since the puck dropped 15 years ago. Why the team can't keep the pedal on the floor after a goal dumbfounds me and has dumbfounded me for years.

That ones on you Bob, you **** the bed at the end. I think they only had 1 shot in the 3rd period before he let the next 3 in. I thought the team played well, Bob owes them for that

Agree on Johansen being one of our most careless players tonight. Playing cute against NYR isn't the correct way to hockey.

In my mind, it has to be either Prout OR Connauton, NOT both. Certainly not on the same pairing. Honestly don't know what Richards was thinking playing them on a pairing together. Prout can hit but as a defenseman...woof. Connauton can shoot but as a defenseman...woof.

I'm guessing the Rangers would rather be facing Prout than a defenceman who can control the play. I think they take that trade-off 9 times out of 10.

That just about sums it up. Now 0-2 when sitting on the glass - might be my last time for a good while.
