What do you do with Evans (and to a lesser extent Armia)?

  • Sign at $4M/5years

  • Trade for 2nd rounder

  • Keep his as a rental and see what shakes out before July 1

The problem isn't the bottom 6. It's the 2nd line.

Demidov will help next year. But if Evans and Armia go, we have to think of how to construct the bottom 6 again.
It’s why you don’t subtract Evans/Armia but add to that 2nd line at deadline..

Easiest schedule amongst teams battling for wildcard + existing 4-line scoring dept … a well calculated add can have significant positive impact

Looking at Buffalo's roster I am blown away with how my good forwards they have. They also have 2 first overall picks on D.
This team can be dangerous, hopefully the Habs are ready and Dobes steps up.

I doubt it. There is no use stirring up the hornets nest winning the game is far more important than a staged fight we need Arber to concentrate on defending.

If however Greenway does something to warrant a correction release the hounds.

Good point about causing a distraction especially if Arber loses the fight, that could backfire and fire up the Sabres. I'd still like to see it happen tho.

So people are willing to hold off on trading assets for a slight chance at making the playoffs where we get bounced out like the Maple Leafs while watching guys walk for free in July.... again... like we always used to do?

That's part of how we got to this mess to begin with! Trade Evans. Trade Armia, Savard, Dvorak... Pezzetta if there's interest.
Totally disagree with this take. You can’t send that message to the team…message being….sure we can make the playoffs with our present players and maybe even adding 1-2 more good guys, but so what? You probably aren’t good enough to win in the playoffs so let’s get more draft choices….as if we need more.

we have a good team…let the kids get a taste of playing in playoff pressure. That will work wonders for their development.

I think greenway may force the issue though. I don't think MSL will want X looking for a fight but it could happen anyway.

What the team should be focused on is just laying some big hits to set the tone and intensity, then start skating when the sabres try to get heavy. get them chasing you

Hey guys- question. I posted in the “what to do in MTL” thread but that appears to be as active as MySpace . Com

I’m going to the Habs-Panthers game on St. Patrick’s day for a bachelor party and was wondering where people think the best pub/bar to pre-game would be. We have 10+ guys looking to get nice and hydrated and have some fun.

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated xoxo
Allo et bienvenue

I would suggest Ye Olde Orchard on de la Montagne as it is very close to le Centre Bell. Also McKibbins on Bishop. Or London's Pub on the corner of Crescent & DeMaisonneuve

Keep in mind though that ALL places will be jam packed for St Patrick's. Bonne chance.

Habs gonna win!
