Careful, you're in Texas they're probably Maga tooI live in Texas....I have MAGA co-workers, and I'm close to having some conversations with HR at this point.
In most cases I'd agree with you and be concerned about that, but I know the HR lady....I'll be ok there, what I'm more concerned about is the fallout and possibilities of retribution.Careful, you're in Texas they're probably Maga too

Forsling going to have to bring his A+ game going forward. That seems like a crazy good deal for Chicago.
For FLA, Ekblad is due up after this season. His current AAV is $7.5 mill and he's going to be 29. Jones, drafted a year earlier, but with a late birthday is 30, turning 31 in Q4. My guess is that they didn't want Ekblad back at a term longer than the 5 left on Jones deal. The retention drops Jones down to just about $7 mill AAV. Basically, end up saving on Knight's deal next season and continue on with a $7 mill RHD.That seems like a crazy good deal for Chicago.
I'm also surprised CHI got out of Jones relatively favourably for them, but they are committing $2.5M retention for 5 years. That seems like a crazy good deal for Chicago.
I'm also surprised FLA went this route. Assuming Tkachuk is back for the playoffs, their only real need was another defenseman. Their usual MO is to find cheap reclamation guys they can turn around, not high-ticket, big-risk deals. FLA's system does insulate defensemen and at a $7M cap hit in a rising cap, I think Jones has a chance to be worth it for the Panthers. This does basically signal they'll let Ekblad go though. For FLA, Ekblad is due up after this season. His current AAV is $7.5 mill and he's going to be 29. For Chicago, another first rounder, but they need to start putting a team together. If that means using that pick to get players, that should be on the table for them. Aside from Bedard and Vlasic, not sure which other current Hawk players will be on their roster whenever they return to the PO, be it in 28, 29, 30.
As for Knight, $4.5 mill AAV through next season, which brings about a high QO to retain his rights. He turns 24 this year, but has taken time away to deal with OCD with ate a lot of his 22/23 season. Last season, all in the A with 45 games. Good numbers this season at 2.40 in 23 games and .907
Figure the 1st from FLA will be in the 20's in 2026, so it's really Knight for the foreseeable future as the return. Chicago will need to add in the off-season. Return for Chicago depends on how good Knight is. They do have a couple of former 2nd rounders in they system. Cossemso is in the A for year 2 this season. Used a 2nd in 2023 on Gajan who is in NCAA this season.

Buzzer beater was so dope honestlyEK65 really is embarrassing himself in Pittsburgh, nowhere near enough effort.
Knies is definitely a stud for the leafs though.
Instead of spending $9.5 mill for Jones, they are eating $2.5 mill in dead money. Paying Knight $4.5 mill next season for that's $7 mill in cap charges. But, for someone who has the potential to grow with the team. But, very real chance if Knight does play well enough, he'd be rfa in 26, with 2 years before UFA, can see him doing a short term deal like Shesh, Demko, Oettinger and all did. But, what does that kind of term look like now? Arbitration wise, Oettinger, Swayman new deals can be included which are in the $8's.I'm also surprised CHI got out of Jones relatively favourably for them, but they are committing $2.5M retention for 5 years.
What league is this?a lot of enforcers are playing right now around the league.
Well he's a top 10 centre. Not surprised at all. Nucks continue to shoot themselves in the foot time and time again.Miller since the trade:
10GP 6G 6A 12PTS
He blew up on the coach and his teammate, what do you want management to do? Just tell everyone to pretend it didn’t happen?Well he's a top 10 centre. Not surprised at all. Nucks continue to shoot themselves in the foot time and time again.
Still cracks me up that many thought trading Miller was going to somehow improve the Canucks.
Reaves and Rempe must be the only true enforcers in the league, and they're 50/50 to even be in the lineup on a given night. What league is this?
