Despite all of the extra video prep and systems talk, I’m still expecting a bit of an adjustment period as these guys learn how to react to the new defensive scheme in real time. Forwards need to make sure they’re covering for the defense when they pressure the puck down low, or else it’s gonna be a shooting gallery on Igor.

I’m also looking to see how some of the D look jumping in on the rush. The biggest thing they’ve missed as a team has been playing as a full 5-man unit ever since that dipshit Quinn was hired. That’s how you win in today’s NHL. Let’s hope this group finally figures it out.
