Everyone came out skating hard. Never know if it’s sustainable over 60 but the d were stepping up and applying pressure which worked well

Pretty solid. Seems like they're still working things out, like long passes across the neutral zone still being a bit too much, but at least they're trying to go forward with them now rather than just across the ice
Like the increased aggressiveness in forcing turnovers in the neutral zone and offensive zone
Think they could look better as they get things going but still a solid start

Laf setup a grade A chance to Chytil, scored a goal, and had another grade A tip as well. Helluva first period for him really.

Zibanejad line still looks a little like they're feeling it out but still can see some of the potential. Kakko slung a hard sharp angle shot at the net that almost turned into something
