What makes them the best suburbs? Or what makes a suburb good? Asking as someone who has never lived in the suburbs or seen the attraction

All the amenities, no crumbling infrastructure? I love my suburb. I also love living downtown though

I didn’t say the best, just some of the best suburbs. I’d say because of low crime, great subdivisions, shopping, restaurants etc. 30 mins west of STL in west STL county is really nice. Chesterfield, Wildwood, Ladue, Town and Country. There’s a reason so many athletes make STL their permanent home after they retire. My point being, most of the crime you hear about in STL is isolated into small pockets east and north.
