I hope that you all had a wonderful and busy off-season. I did a bit of travelling, so this GDT is about...

I don't really like to fly, as you miss so much scenery. However, I decided not to take my little "putt-putt" Saturn on the trip and rented a car. I headed south and west through North Dakota, Montana, and down to Idaho before stopping in the Salt Lake City area for a few days...

While I was there, I did some "thrifting" and bought many t-shirts. Not much NHL talk in Utah, even though they had a new team, but I did see a billboard proclaiming the NHL's arrival. After Utah, I headed west towards Reno and Lake Tahoe. Not much to see, but I broke up the drive by stopping in at some casinos along the way. Downtown Reno reminded me of Downtown Winnipeg, and not in a good way...

While in Reno, I stopped in at one of the local casinos and did pretty good...

I earned enough players club points for a free buffet, which wasn't bad. Hey, who's going to complain about free food? I did some thrifting, but the selection was very poor. The next morning I headed out to Lake Tahoe, it was a beautiful clear day...

The lake is amazingly crystal clear and you can see all the way to the bottom...

I then started to drive around the lake and came to a place called Eagle Falls...



Continuing on the California side of the lake...

After driving around Lake Tahoe, I ended up back in Reno at the casino I was at the day before. I did pretty good...

I ended up cashing out my player club points and picked up a Reno Nevada fridge magnet... The next day, I headed south along the Sierra Nevada mountain range...

I ended the day in Barstow California and visited Calico Ghost Town...

What a tourist trap! I wasted my time when I could have been thrifting! Anyway, I got to my hotel and found this at the entrance...

Seems like everything in California causes cancer, including my hotel... The next day, I finally made it to my destination, Las Vegas! Right off the bat, I found my mother's favourite slot machine and decided to play...

Nice way to start off my Vegas Vacation! My mom would have loved that! I played a little while and then headed for a photo op...

While I was at the Las Vegas sign, I met Elvis Presley himself! He was driving a Tesla truck and I asked him where he has been all these years. He said the "Heartbreak Hotel" but that I shouldn't tell anyone as they would be "All Shook Up". I told him that I probably would, and he said, "That's All Right"... I did quite a bit of thrifting and found the perfect t-shirt...

I also did some more gambling, and just before I left, I hit a jackpot...

Well, that certainly woke me up! It was the first time that I came back from Las Vegas with more money than I left with, and I've been going for the last fifteen years or so. Finally, I had to head back home, but I stopped in at Rugby, North Dakota for my last photo op...

The Wild have been promoted to my most hated team after last years shenanigans, that idiot sports 'journalist' they have and their dumb dumbass fans.

Yes, hated more than the Leafs, Habs, Canucks and even f*** Vegas!

I don't want them to just beat the Wild, I want to beat them so bad the team immediately folds. Not moves, actually folds.

I want to beat them so bad that every hockey rink in Minnesota immediately combusts, and ice refuses to form outside.

I like that 3 Jets chose AC/DC for their goal songs. Hopefully get to hear a couple of tracks tonight. Scheif choosing Shoot to Thrill is top shelf.

They lost a heartbreaker last night at home to the Krackheads in a shoot out.

They have one season remaining where they have to manage that $15 million dollar dead cap space which is a killer. Hartman is one of the biggest pieces of shit in the league. They are missing that cartoon character coach now which might change things up. He seemed to suffer from small man’s syndrome a bit which heated things up. The Wild hate us too because of how we tend to injure Kaprizov when we play them.

Watching the highlights last night they have Rossi with Kaprizov so I expect our red meat hating Perfetti peeps to be raging even more today.

Either way I am prepping thanksgiving for 12 ppl and it usually kicks off at 5PM so I doubt I see any of the first two periods. I will maybe PVR it in case it’s spicey.

I:f he doesn't start tonight, he won't start until the 20th.

Looks like an awesome trip

We do a little trek through Monatana every summer, and I try to get down there to bowhunt every couple of September's

I'll retire there someday. Just beautiful

Too important of a game to start the backup. This one is for Central Division points and other than Colorado, who I predicted to struggle out of the gates, and Nashville, who are surprisingly struggling, the division is racking up points early.
Tyrel Bauer didn't play a single preseason game. That probably says alot about where he fits in the scheme of depth. Adam Lowry can settle any score. Everyone else just has to play to their strengths. Should be a good battle. Hopefully no tofu turkeys out there.
