My biggest eye opener this period, Saku. Love the layered attack and stacking defenders on the blue line.

First game, but already miles better structurally.

Big Sak, deceptive speed and a really nice shot. 4th line doesn't look like a group you're forced to play but has earned it.

It's gotta be a nightmare trying to defend against Ehlers, Connor, and Scheifele... they can all carry and protect the puck well and have good vision. You can't make a single mistake against them.

Solid period. Totally different style then last year. Lots of pressure on the puck and very quick shifts for the most part. Scheif looks like a different player then what we have seen. He keeps this up he will have a monster year

John Lu's good people. He's been great with the CFL over the years - articulate, professional, and he's also a local guy, so you know he actually gives a damn about the Jets.

Yep, that's the key, and where we often ran into trouble last year - too many guys trying to do it all in a shift, and handcuffing the team by giving up odd-man rushes or not having the energy to win one-on-one battles.

It's a small change, but makes all the difference.
