One thing I noticed watching Perreault's highlights. He routinely set up Leonard for gimmes.
I could be extremely wrong, but i think Leonard will have a decent learning curves in the NHL when it comes to scoring goals.Yeah Leonard scored 60+ goals over the past two seasons. He'd go right into any lineup. That's not to say that Perreault won't end up a better player (I think he will) but Leonard is considered one of the best finishers outside of the NHL.
I agree with you. It's going to be the "time and space" thing a lot of big time goal scorers have to deal with when they step into the NHL. He'll have to learn to adjust to a much faster pace and find those seams and pockets. I'm sure he will adapt but as you said, there may be a curve.I could be extremely wrong, but i think Leonard will have a decent learning curves in the NHL when it comes to scoring goals.
But he’ll be a wrecking ball even if he’s not putting up points.
He’ll score a goal his first game on adrenaline though. Probably have 10 hits too.
That Bonk pick hit like pure Colombian. I almost punched my monitor in joy.Might play against the very team that passed him up at #21 OVR.
I was convinced he was gonna be a Wild prospect during that 2023 draft

frfr- college cage helmet is so squirt level shit, wjc is NHL-adjace.What a junky picture they used. Couldnt get a nice WJC photo to see his face?
I have nothing nice to say so I'm not gonna say anything.
It usually takes players who are effective partly because they bully players in their own age group a few years to start getting up to speed in the NHL. 200 lbs is heavy in colllege, in the NHL it’s not.I will say Leonard is already one hell of a hockey player and certainly a plug and play NHLer. I suspect Gabe may take a bit more time to get going at this level.
Mods pls banYou just said something.
47 for KaliyevKaliyev can choose a new number. I think #34 is a good one for Gabe
You reckon go with option B where we tell him we don't want to sign him yet and so he goes to back to college for year 4 and then becomes a UFA?Wait, does this really burn a year? What the f*** is Drury and co. doing here?

It’s usually players who are either ultra fast, ultra smart or ultra slippery, as well as skilled, who transition smoother. In Gabe’s case he’s already smarter than most NHLers like he was smarter than players in college. Ryan on the other hand is not stronger or heavier than most NHLers. Though Kreider made an impact right out of college, I think it was more his speed than him being a bull. And even with that he spent most of the next two seasons in the AHL if I’m remembering right.
I’m not saying Leonard won’t be an NHLer right away, I m saying he won’t be the bull In this league that he was in the NCAA for probably a couple few years.
It doesn't matter. He'll get his next contract a year earlier, but that could help keep his AAV down if he hasn't fully broken out yet. It won't affect his waiver eligibility, arbitration status, or when he becomes UFA.Wait, does this really burn a year? What the f*** is Drury and co. doing here?
