Maybe it's time for Carter Hart to get out of Philadelpia. If the Flyers are serious about moving away from Giroux and the core, Vilardi is a good replacement for the future. Kings are stacked up front with Byfield, Fagemo, Turcotte, Kupari and could afford to lose Vilardi to get a potential #1 goalie.

Love this. LA has like four Cs we like over Vilardi. So, he should definitely be worth a #1G.

vallardi doesn’t have that value
And
Hart isn’t old enough to be moved as part of a rebuild

Sorry, you wouldn’t trade a 22 year old with 1 point this season and a career high of… 13 points for Carter Hart?! This is a new and impressive low for HF.

Flyers won’t trade Hart but first Vilardi has 23 career high points not 13. And why would the Kings trade for a goalie whose played 4 seasons in the nhl and has a career save percentage of .907? Knocking down players can go both ways.

Kings fans overvaluing of prospects reaches critical mass... Not saying Kings need Hart but if they did, Hart has more value on the market than Vilardi.

We like it or not, Petersen is our future goalie.
He was given a 5 mil contract over several years.

Only the future will show if that what a correct decision or not.
Until his contract is up, he will be the #1 goalie after Quick

Carter Hart will be a #1 goalie for a long time in the NHL.

Statistically speaking, every goalie that's walked his specific path to the NHL has gone on to become a career starter at-worse, except for Jim Carrey.

@Appleyard had the stats on this (which are fascinating) and are pretty hard to refute

And shouldn't teams keep their #1 goalie?
Just out of interest

I agree, not sure who came up with that trade but Hart would cost more.. the other factor is that the Kings aren’t moving Vilardi as they are smitten with him and with the team willing they’re letting him grow and learn in the A.. which is something he really hasn’t done with all the time he’s missed.. but it’s nice that he’s a ppg player

Hart has one of the highest save percentages of high danger zone shots, if not the highest. He has been terrific. It is the dumpster fire in front of him that he is bailing out.

yeah he wasn’t good last year but that lands on AV being a total mind f*** to him in the open media.

putting his numbers up on a team with a 13 game losing streak, the second 10 game of the season, with Yandle, Risto etc.... let alone that bottom six.....

Hart isn’t the problem and I hope he goes get moved out. Been a huge fan since his Everett days and he doesn’t deserve the mess the Flyers are

huh, hes 23, most goalies are still waiting to get their shot at the nhl at this point

meanwhile vilardi is a 22 yo forward who can’t crack the roster of a middle of the league (likely easily in the bottom half when the teams behind them catch them in GP) in scoring team and has injury concerns

To be fair that's because LA's roster management is atrocious and they're playing waiver games, not because Vilardi shouldn't be there.

Doesn't mean he's worth Hart but also doesn't mean he's as trash which is what's going on in this used-car-sale thread
