I'd rather see a game like that, and be stressed out because they didn't do a few things, rather than feel embarrassed by their effort.

I'm upset by the loss, but I'll live and want to watch the next game. They've given us games this year where I'm like, you pathetic bitches. Your next game is 10pm. Yeah I don't f***in care, I'm choosing sleep.

This is pretty much what has killed us this year.

They absolutely refuse to play simple/smart hockey.

They are always looking for the extra pass so they can get a highlight. 29 is the most guilty of this and it's got to stop. There have been at minimum 5 times this year where he's had a wide open net and instead of scoring the easy goal he tries the no look pass that always fails.

But he's not alone everyone on the team is over passing. When you get a look at shot take it, enough of this fancy BS it rarely works.

100%. Much better showing tonight despite the result. Isles are hot, out-goalied. Call it a day, but bring that effort and shot total again.

Definitely some strategy things to clean up though and I get that it's just mounting frustration with the coaching staff. String together a couple of wins (or make another trade) and everyone will be happy. I take this game as trending in the right direction though.

Sad fact but a fact. Nuke does so much for those other guys especially Mackinnon for whatever reason. I just love how Jared lied to us saying it was nothin major and now Nukes been out for a month.

This from JB and management is top of my list of detestable characteristics. Pro sports handling style one thing. This crew tho... fu level offensive. Responding to this because someone else said they wish media would point blank it with Bednar on the metamorphosed pp, but the whole meshing 'tween Avs and media has been a systemic mold problem for a long time. Way beyond familiarity breeds contempt thing.

Touched a fav disgust thing Kingy, on beds lied to us. Anyone wonder if this is more than an injury thing with nuke, given this ridiculous history that the Avs seem to want to burden themselves with, and hide, coming on years?

Necas has already succumbed to the defer to MacKinnon disease. He's passing to him when it's obvious that he doesn't have a lane to the net or is in the best position to shoot.

Three unquestionably in CDH, Middleton and Malinski. And now G and Manson are seemingly taking turns joining them every other game. Gotta let Malinski marinate in the AHL...they put too much faith in him way too quickly.

Been a common thread this season. When he's on he can still move a puck, but the defense and offensive output has been atrocious. He needs a babysitter to be effective in that middle pair and Manson just hasn't been consistent enough to provide that for him.

Avs playing perimeter offense. Not generating enough traffic in front of the net, not enough second chances off rebounds. Only goals the Avs scored tonight were about five feet in front of Sorokin or closer.

Goaltender interference is a unicorn, they’re just making it up as they go along. Now if a player even touches the crease it doesn’t matter if the goalie initiates contact, it’s coming back.

Third pairing is unacceptable. de Haan is soft as shit and Malinski can’t manage the puck.

I don’t know, something has to give here, this team simply isn’t good enough.

Problem is, the Avs play perimeter defense too.

I'm not down on Necas at all. Love his skating. He can stop on a dime, change direction and quickly accelerate. He's a weapon. He's dangerous. He has abilities that Rants just doesn't have.

But there was only one Moose on this team. And he will be missed.

The only thing I'm taking away from this game is that I made a comment about #18 saying something along the lines that a Drury broke the number, and a Drury would fix it. I'm standing by that. I really like the way Jack plays. He's committed to 200' of ice and keeping his feet moving.

Bednar is going to fall in love with this guy if he hasn't already.

I mean, the fact that they don't practice... AT ALL, should be all you need to know that the coaches have nothing to say or add.
