Gonna be rough covering their top line without 3 of our top 4 defensemen.

The Wild need to simply weather this period and pick up half the points available. If they do that, they'll make the playoffs and, one would hope, have a healthier top of the lineup when that time comes.

That said, I want them to go into the game fighting their asses off. I can press for moral victories, they should fight for real ones.

I don’t get the obsession with Trenin’s offensive numbers. He’s never been a scorer. His metrics say he’s an elite defensive forward and he adds much needed physicality to a team that was pushed around all of last year. He’s overpaid, but very useful IMO

It's the overpaid part. If a guy earns his money, people expect him to produce ~3rd line offense. But yeah, he's doing his thing and doing it pretty decently lately.

Sports announcers and stats drive me crazy. Doesn't matter if its hockey, football, baseball, or basketball. "Got a streak going... 17 points in 18 games"... well, dude, clearly it's not a streak if there's a game in the middle without a point.
