Phillips is a good get for the Jets depth. He can come play 6th D just fine in a pinch.

Phillips is a terrible D even in the AHL. Also Kuzmin is a fellow Belarusian to play LD with Levshunov.

I've never understood our boards hype for Phillips. He's a good AHL Dman, nothing more, nothing less. Can come up in a pinch for a game or 2 if you have injuries, but that's about it. But who knows, maybe he'll pull a Forsling, but don't count on it.

I mean, Vancouver basically carried the trade board for the first half of last season. They did all the things, almost no other team was making moves outside of moves with Vancouver. This year... not so much.

Good AHL defenseman with strong character. Plays a typical two-way style. If things go right for him, I can see him being an NHL regular
