Would you fire Bednar?
Yes. He and his staff has to go, it's completely unacceptable to be playing this poorly. With so little effort every night.

I loved Blackwood, can't ask for more, talks to the media after the game.

Point the camera in someone else's face please. I don't need the goalie answering questions for the trash bag skaters who did absolutely jack shit with a winnable game. Get tf outta his face.
Only player that looked like he gave a f*** tonight. They better get him under contract.

They haven't had the flu all year, so why have they looked the same all season?
The Avs went 4-1 on a road trip, came home with a flu bug and have looked like they have the flu and no energy. We have few days off now so we’ll see how they look on Thursday

This is BS. They've been a mediocre team all year. Some good stretches and some bad. They are just a bad team that puts in little effort. Flu or not they are just mediocre.

Ok I didn’t see that. I mean it’s not just playing with the flu, the schedule is tough. On the road for few games, then home for couple then back on the road etc…. I can’t even go to kitchen from my bedroom when I have a bad flu. This guys have to travel and play hockey

I think Casey has an injury…last season, playoffs and start of this season he was a monster on the half wall no one could get the puck from him. That’s a very physical part of the game that might be lost if he’s injured.

The powerplay goes further back.

Fire the guy directly responsible FINALLY, but there is a lot of shit the hippie haired mofo is responsible for that's failing too.

He wants responsible hockey, but our wingers are no longer supporting our defense. No real adjustments but play Mack, Mikko and Makar more?

Bye Felicia

Maybe, but we’ll see if the mediocrity continues when they’re over the flu and healthy. We made the goaltending changes and did really well on that road trip until the flu bug. So we’ll just have to wait and see how they do when they’re back healthy again

Lol yep. Another excuse. That's all it ever is. Excuses. The team had played like dog shit all year. And we just constantly make up excuse after excuse. They suck. That's all it is. They are a bad team that's lazy as f*** and cares absolutely nothing about winning.

It's a bad team, not sure what's hard to understand about this.
Nah...... Tocchat came up with a pretty good game plan. There was a lot of Adam Foote style hockey being played out there against the Avs. Vancouver has a big defensive corp and some forwards that pretty much lead with their fore arms every hit. That's not Bednar's game so the Avs are unable to adjust.

When Miller caught MacKinnon and knocked him down behind the Avs net, I knew it was going to be a slam and bang event. Avs puck mishandles were constant and they were waiting on every puck for it to settle down, reaching back for it, like skates set in mortar. They couldn't play their speed game because conditions did not allow it.....I've skated on Vancouver ice in this condition. It does not allow for a speed game to be executed.

I do get a kick out of all the "Sky if falling" posts from the usual suspects.

They have the 5th besst record in the league over the last month. Despite the PP having a truly awful slump, and despite playing probably half of those games with Georgiev/Annunen in the net.

They're fine. The goaltending is clearly already so much better then it was 2 weeks ago. I 100% guarantee this team will go on start some crazy 12-2-1 run here in the next couple of weeks and all of a sudden we'll all forget about this random loss in the middle of December and start talking about the Cup run again.

I’m not on fire the coaching staff train yet, but if we miss the playoffs than definitely change is needed

These f*** tards on the post game show salivating over calling the next games against bottom feeders instead of ripping into the game and breaking it down are pathetic.

This is why humanity is breaking down. Darwin's law doesn't mean shit anymore even in sports. Sports started as a way for soldiers to train for war. These f***s are gladiators. They don't need you p***yfooting around bullshiting, and neither do the fans.

You bunch of bitches

You can't wait until you miss to realize the problem. I'd love to be that patient, but a spade is a spade. Bednar has a job to do, or he AND his assistants need to go.

I’m about done with Bennett but I’m nowhere close to calling for Bednar’s head.

You won’t need to worry, if they miss the playoffs I’d be willing to bet some worthless memecoins that Bednar is most definitely gone.

Bednar is his boss, and I'm sure is responsible for keeping him around. I agree, but Bednar is responsible for how horrible our power play has been for like ever..

I'd try a shake up first, but I'd be ok with just chopping the head off and starting new too.

That was like watching a washing machine that you can't turn off. All game, same shit, just play your best players more. Period one, two, and three.

The dumb f*** took Smith out, and instead of letting our bottom six grind down the other team they looked neutered tonight. After our physicality arguably ground Nashville down into opening up the game.

I'd kill for Roy to be the coach instead of Bedsoft right now.

Running 29, 96 and 8 into the ground and constantly coaching the physicality out of our bottom 6 guys is why I wouldn't be upset if they moved on from Bednar. I love the guy but the whole "Just play more minutes and play harder" schtick (especially when he knows the guys are probably under the weather) has gotten old.

There just needs to be new ideas for this team because we're doing the old definition of insanity thing now.

Everyone is done with Bennett. Part of the problem is swapping assistants really doesn’t seem to happen. The head and assistant coaches are a package deal it seems so most likely either they all go or none do. Depends how badly people want Bennett (and Pratt) gone, is it enough to want all 3 kicked to the curb?

Kiefer Sherwood with a Hattrick.... KIEFER SHERWOOD !!!!!

We are a wildcard-team... Nothing more, nothing less. Get used to it, it will be a long regular season and, if we make it in (!!) early out in the playoffs because Bednar will run our big guns into the ground until april.

If they really have the flu, sit them, call up the Eagles and run with them... I dont give a f***. Everything is better than watching these lifeless corps skating around like headless chickens..... And talking about "headless chickens".... We need a shake-up on our coaching staff..... I am not calling for Bednar yet, but we need fresh blood asap...

Was thinking how to frame what you just said. Yeah, is a shame this team has difficulty mustering even a mediocre compete level at this point. Moments of brilliance in between long spates of mediocrity, and worse.

Irrespective of how good a coach Bednar is, he ain't the right person to lead this particular group out of the mediocrity it has found itself, imnsho. Say it ain't so...

Yeah, Avs might be the most conservative organization in sports when it comes to coaching personnel. The Vatican has had more turnover than them.

I don’t see a full gutting unless they miss the playoffs entirely. Then yeah, they’re ALL gone, even Parkkila won’t survive that. If they have anything less than a deep playoff run, then we might see assistants swapped out.
