Nate hasn’t looked right in a while and yet he’s got 50 points. That’s how good he is.

Power play is still shit and the second pairing really struggled. Rough game from Sammy G, and even though he had better underlying stats I thought Sammy M looked terrible tonight. Tons of really bad turnovers, I was so pissed when Middleton wrestled the puck away from like, two Preds, handed Malinski the puck and he proceeded to cough it right up. Oh well, try and do better next game.

Not gonna lie, Middleton is impressing me. He’s doing the things Manson was not doing this year—using his size and leverage to muscle guys off the puck and making the simple play. Obviously he’s not better than Manson but…he understands he’s not a puckmover.

But the big star was Blackwood. Fantastic debut. Hope he doesn’t have to work as hard next game.


Nate just doesn’t care for fanfare. He’s never been a very boisterous personality, if anything he’s socially awkward, the PR portion of the game is obviously something he hates. Doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Other players can do the interviews.

Both the Middleton brothers have made huge strides in their game this year.

If Keaton can develop similar to Jake did in Minnesota that would be a huge W.

Gentlemen, we just beat the Josi lead Predators in a nailbiter of a match played with playoff intensity. This team just feels like it has it.

Just finished watching and holy smokes.

-When has ever Avs goalied the game like this
-We definately took the salespitch that Blackwood needs many shots
-Blackwood delivered
-I really like Middletons physicality infront of the net
-I hearby declare Rosstadt a thing, nice pass and a goal
-Mack is back
-Rants looked physical all night and stole nicely the puck for a Mack goal

So if Blackwood can keep us in the game for the 1st period consistenly when waiting Avs to fire up for 2nd and 3rd this will do nicely.

Also liked the Wedgewood Blackwood hug in the end. I dont remember when we last had so good goalie chemistry..

It sounds like the flu is still going around the team. Colton said some guys still have the flu and they haven’t had a normal team practice for a bit, which explains why they haven’t looked good for the last 2 games

On a more serious note:

Blackwood was f***ing amazing tonight. The guy played pretty much a perfect game, I have zero complaints. Is this what is feels like to have a goalie that does his job like a real starter goalie? We didn't start great and he kept us in the game.

He's huge, he doesn't give almost any rebounds, he's quick for his size, you could absolutely trust him to do the routine saves.. there's A LOT to love.

I want this man extended. One game sample size behind as an Av, but I want this man extended.
