If you haven't had a chance to watch him, do so. He is truly impressive.

I think he'll be next in the line of Hockey East goalies making waves in the NHL.

I've seen him play twice now at Penn State and he's looked years ahead of where he is now. Definitely a better option than Eamon McAdam, for you Isles fans.

Ya not a bad stat line for him. He's really started to tear it up. He's been a huge part to their unbeaten streak, come up big when they've really needed him to. Just shooting up draft boards since taking the reigns at BC. His poise and confidence is really incredible for being so young. Excited to see him play in some huge games in the Hockey East and NCAA tournaments.

seen him a couple times. not very impressive, shaky. but hes really young playing ncaa

I want him on the Hawks. Hopefully Bowman moves away from drafting a forward first and takes a gamble on Demko. Sounds like he has the goods to be a starter in a few years.

As an Islanders fan I want him at 35, all that being said Chicago is one of those teams I could see picking him late in the first. Only other teams I see picking him in the first would be St Louis(very Unlikely at 21), Colorado(unlikely but possible at 23) and NJ(30). Something tells me Buffalo(31), Florida(32), Edmonton(33) and Calgary(34) will all have interest in Demko

If the Islanders want him their best bet is probably to trade 35 and Montreal's 2nd for a pick above Chicago

I am personally torn about trading up to get Demko. Being here in Boston, I've seen him play and think highly of him. Still, I don't believe in goalies being drafted in the 1st round unless he's essentially a god. If we don't get Demko, I'd be happy with Nedeljkovic or McDonald and we should be able to get one of them at #35 or possibly with MTL's 2nd.

I wouldn't mind if Snow did trade up to get Demko considering the goaltending situation, but I'm not sure if it's the smartest move.

I don't get the hype for this kid. He plays the entire game on his knees. Sure he's big enough to fill the net from that position, but he drops down the moment the puck comes into his end of the ice. I've seen him several times and came away unimpressed.

He'd fit right in with Buffalo.

The Blues have Edmonton's 33rd pick. They could have interest with that pick.

Colorado has too many good goalie prospects. They'll need to trade some this summer.

And they are set for the future in net with Varlamov.

A goalie is the only thing the Avs don't need to draft.

why would they?

They've incested heavily in Allen and still have Binnington who's pretty promising.

I'm like 90% sure they'll try and get a forward as they could use some forward prospects (Rattie,Jaskin,Schwartz and Tarasenko are all in the NHL or near the NHL, they need to re-stock the shelves AND they don't have a 1st next year)

Poor lad.

If a goalie is the real deal, you should draft him 20+ no matter how many goalies you've got in the system. Look at recent first goalies picked; Gibson and Vasilevski. Gibson might be worth a top 5 pick in a trade, and Vasilevski; maybe top ten.

Goalies have the potential to sky rocket in value if they fall to the late first, IF they're the real deal. However I haven't seen Demko play but it sounds by comments that the jury is out with him.

I haven't seen Demko play, but Jonathan Quick plays pretty much the whole game on his knees too, and he's one of the absolute best goalies in the world. Is he super mobile on his knees, like Quick?

I am not sure who Binnington is but anybody who drafts a goalie should realize the guy is likely to be 4-5 years from playing in the NHL. While it's a longshot the Blues use the first rounder on Demko I do think it's possible with Edmonton's pick(although I probably would give the Oilers a higher chance of picking Demko with the pick then the Blues).

My guess though is Florida will be all over him in the 2nd if he is still there

Demo got lit up in key games at the end of the season...Notre Dame did it to him twice and BC got shelled in the Frozen Four Final by Union..Sorry but I do not see anything that special in home...I was more impressed with Mason McDonald who was terrific at the U-18s and in the Top Prospects Game.. He got bombed with shots in the Q so the save% stats there do not look that good but the scouts discount for goals facing shot barrage every night. Most nights Demko never faced that much rubber. So I think DoNald should be the #1 NA goalie. .As for euro goalies,Vile Husso is #1 on the Central Scouting ranking but his record in international tournaments is bad..so while terrific in Finland,he seems to choke in the higher pressure of big tournament play against other countries..This should be a red flag..I am more intrigued by the 2nd ranked euro goalie Jonas Johansson who is also just turning 19 in Sept....Husso is already 20..
Picking teen aged goaltenders is always a crapshoot ..Hard to find the "real deal" ..best you can do is true to project and hope your hunch proves out.
On that basis my bunches are to bet on McDonald and Johansson for top 2 goalies worthy of late first to early 2nd round picks..then on Kashmir Kaskisuo and Elvis Merzlikins as 3rd round picks.. Avoid Demko because like Louongo he is.probably a choker...For late round pick in goal (5,6 or 7th round) target Jeff Smith (BCHL)

I think any team taking him in the 1st is reaching. I don't really see how he's better than the other top goaltenders in this class to the point where you wouldn't just take whichever is available to you in the 2nd. Good prospect, though. I'd be happy if the Sabres got him in the Winnipeg 2nd.

I can't understand a word you wrote so I'm gonna assume you sung Demko's praises and suggested Demko should be a first rounder.

Which is exactly what they've dine with Allen, as he approaches to be their starter and what they have and will continue to do with Binnington.

Blues have a pretty damn good record if pumping out goalies. In the 2nd round, needs can be addressed and the blues need forward prospects since their best ines have graduated and their last one will graduate sooner rather than later.

They have a young, starting goalie and a youngster who will start in the AHL next year. Besides, if he's in the 2nd I think he goes to Buffalo.
