First start, first win, third star in his debut tonight.

Proud of him. Looked completely unfazed by the moment, very quiet in his crease, outstanding rebound control on anything that hit him torso-high, showed some good instincts and puckhandling ability when he left his area. Pretty much everything you want out of a blue-chip goalie prospect, kid's got the ability to be a good one for a very long time.

You can just feel he's gonna be a gamer.

51 save and a goal, just after his first shutout in the previous game.
I've been telling this for years, he is something. Look at his performance in Finnish Liiga as a teenager, it was nothing short of outstanding. He keeps improving.

Dude is a natural winner and a very skilled goalie. Ducks can comfortably trade Gibson
Ya he’s looked pretty solid in his nhl games so far…. I’d love for us to get him a few more games, and hopefully have him in a 1a/1b situation next year… the market for gibson at the draft will prob be pretty good

At what point will he have to go thru waivers in order to be sent to the AHL? Next season? I never know that rule.... He's in his 3rd AHL season right now and will be 23 years old when next season starts

I realize that Gibson contract sucks for Dostal but from what I've seen this year in these Duck games, he's more than ready to stay in the NHL now

He looked outstanding last night wow

I think he was ready last season for back up duties, I was hoping we’d sell high on stolarz and bring dostal in to back up gibby.

Tough part is the team isn’t exactly good defensively, do we want to put him through that for an extended period of time. Seems like a very confident kid throughout his career would prefer not to mess that up if possible.

I think at this point we should be looking at what kind of deals we could move gibson in…. Retention + bringing in cap, to hopefully salvage some value

He is waiver exempt for one more season after this year. But with Stolarz about to be a UFA, Dostal will probably be our backup next year (at least he should be).

He is looking good, but under our defense it's only a question of time when he breaks. I'm very ok to give Gibby and Stolarz all the chance to finish this season and bring in Dostal as a backup next year
What's the point of having Stolarz around rest of season? I guess hope he can bounce back enough for a late pick?

Is that worth sending Dostal down if he's playing great?

Depending on how long gibson/stolarz are hurt I expect one of them to get a conditioning stint in AHL to buy more time for stolarz, just like Schmid.
