He was great last night. 1 flukey goal and the other he had no shot on with the power play. He was a brick wall otherwise. Made a few really nice saves to keep BU at bay as they charged in the 3rd. He’s having another incredible season, it’s right up there with Demko’s 15-16 season for me as a BC fan
Any talk of him making the jump to the AHL next year since he's having such a strong season with BC?
No sense playing in college again. Doesn’t get challenged enough playing for such a dominant team. Cutting his teeth in the A will serve him well long term.Any talk of him making the jump to the AHL next year since he's having such a strong season with BC?
I would agree but some guys want to get their education then pursue the NHL dream. It's so tricky to predict and I'm really intrigued by his statistics this year. He definitely isn't challenged and I would love to see him rip up the AHL in Laval. No sense playing in college again. Doesn’t get challenged enough playing for such a dominant team. For what it's worth, the expectation from everyone around BC is he'll go pro after the end of this yearI would agree but some guys want to get their education then pursue the NHL dream. How many top 75 picks play four years of college? Or is he on track to graduate in 3 years?I would agree but some guys want to get their education then pursue the NHL dream. I mean more than you'd think - especially goalies tend to take longer to develop but he's been so hot lately it's hard to see him staying a 3rd year even is my stance. I'm sure Montreal will have more a discussion with him too saying hey the role is yours after Monte expires and even then he could backup Monte until then. How many top 75 picks play four years of college? Ya goalies especially typically stay longer than skaters. Even staying only 2 years as a goalie has been pretty rare up until Knight, Primeau and Levi. The only successful everyday NHL goalie I can think of who’s left after only 2 years so far has been Hellebuyck. Jury is still out on Knight and Levi. Not saying Fowler can’t do it nor shouldn’t do it, it’s just not a path that’s been taken all that muchI mean more than you'd think - especially goalies tend to take longer to develop but he's been so hot lately it's hard to see him staying a 3rd year even is my stance.
