Four goals against in region final against Quinnipiac but hard to put that all on him. BC won in OT and is headed to Frozen Four.

Most wins as a freshman in NCAA's history is pretty impressive.

BC is good team, but he was a great part of that team. Kid has been a winner everywhere he's been.

He didn't have to make many high quality saves tonight but part of that was thanks to how calm, cool, and collected he was swallowing the puck or controlling his rebounds. Impressive initial frozen four performance by a teenage goalie.

The rumor is Hughes tried to move up into the 2nd round (giving up his 3rds) to draft Jacob Fowler, to no avail. The Habs original 2nd was already traded to the Avs. Then Fowler fell into his lap after 5 goalies were selected in the 2nd round ahead of him. Habs lucked out.

Any chance we see him transfer if BC keeps losing top players?
Matriculating players to the nhl is hardly a bad thing. That’s why teams do a thing called “recruiting”. Not trying to be too condescending here but yeah, nobody is gonna panic because a star freshman signs an ELC.

BC has another loaded recruiting class coming in to join what is a loaded roster even without Smith. Losing Smith is a big loss, but BC is still a national title contender. And Smith going to the NHL is zero reason for Fowler to transfer.
