Shesterkin with another AHL win, takes the game 4-1 and also decided he would help on offense with a 150ft saucer pass to help lead to the Wolfpack's 3rd goal.

AHL is just too easy for him. Once the NHL All Star break is over that will be the end of his AHL career. It was good they send him down for the break though to continue to get games in.

He stopped a breakaway at 2-0 that would've made it 2-1, and then not long after played that stretch pass. He also had a stretch of key stops at 3-0 that lead to the 4th goal. I remember when people said he'd need an adjustment to the AHL because of Samsonov. Those people obviously didn't have a clue about his ability level. He should win the goalie of the year in the AHL. It looks like he'll have enough minutes to qualify for GAA and SV% titles, which he currently sits first in both. He should also win player of the year in the league, but I think that's less likely that he'd win if he doesn't play a full season. But I think it's clear that he's the best player in the AHL.

Hartford is not a good team when he doesn't play. The difference between the best player in the league in net and a league average guy like Huska is drastic. Hartford has won 16 of the 23 games he's started, and 8 of the 20 he hasn't started. They needed this two game boost of Shestyorkin in a stretch where they've struggled since he was called up to the NHL. It could make a difference at the end of the regular season. I wonder if he'll agree to play in the AHL playoffs, if Hartford makes it. That'll likely make them the favorite. If he doesn't, they have nearly no chance to win it.

I think it would be terrific if he could join them for a deep run at the Calder cup along with Rykov, VK, Keane, Hajek. You’re right without him they are lucky if they get to round 2 most likely

Oh you are right. Once the Ranger's season is over i'm sure they will send him back to be the goalie for their playoff run.

Stopped 28 of 30. 58/61 in those two games, and he won Hartford two games. Now he needs to be back in New York after the ASG and starting on Friday.

He beat the Wings last night. Not anything too impressive, but you can only play the team in front of you. He stopped 23 of 25 shots. Both goals were poor defense by the Skjei/Fox pairing. Not a lot the goalie could've done about either goal. He didn't have the most eventful game either. The Wings didn't put up many shots and didn't have that many high quality shots. He had one very impressive save early on, but that was about it. Easy day for a goalie, but I've seen goalies botch easier games.

I normally appreciate reviews like this but you act much more like a publicist than a reporter, making it meaningless. I came here knowing exactly what I'd find.

You know where to find the ignore button.

Here's the save I mentioned for the people who come here to discuss hockey.

Still pissed at the last minute loss at the Jackets. Should be 4-0. oh well. Still a pretty good start to his NHL career.

Beat the Leafs. Now won 4 of his first 5 starts.

Hasn’t given up more than three goals yet. Meanwhile, it’s seems like the other two goalies give up 5 goals every other game. They are very inconsistent. Shestyorkin is very consistent.

He was great tonight. first and 3rd he had no chance and he probably wants the 2nd one back but it looked like he wasn't ready, and it was Matthews from 2 feet in front. Can't really fault him too much. Made a ton of very tough saves throughout the night.

Only 90% against Leafs, bust! pffsffssafsafs!!
(Kidding, loved the robbery on Matthews in the second period)

Another solid game against a top offensive team. 4-1 record on a non playoff team. Should really be 5-0
