Finished the season 3rd in the WHL in save % with .922 (behind only Carter Hart and Connor Ingram) and 5th in GAA with 2.74 in 31 games played.

Looked really good this season, especially while taking over the reigns as Kamloops' starter while Ingram was at the World Juniors, playing 15 consecutive games from Dec. 10 - Jan. 14 (including 3 games in 3 nights recording a .933 save %) going 9-4-2 in that stretch with a .930 save % and 2.40 GAA

Think any teams might take him in the later rounds? Or will they wait to see how he does as a full-time starter first?

For first time NHL draft eligible CHL goalies Dylan Ferguson has been the 2nd best statistically when looking at categories such as raw GSAA, QS%, raw SV%, and Bounce Back SV%. I also like that you brought up the time that Ingram went to the WJC this year as it gave Ferguson the chance to show how he could be the starter. Ferguson started 15 games and 12 of which were Quality Starts for a 0.800 QS% (which is very good). Stepping back and looking at his entire season he's currently 5th in the WHL for raw GSAA which is impressive because he's only played 31 games when every other goalie in the GSAA Top 10 has played +40. He's also posted a 0.667 QS% this season which a) shows consistency b) and he ranks 5th in QS% among WHL goalies with +10 starts.

I'm disappointed I never got the chance to watch him and he's too old for the U18's as well. If he's not worth a draft pick I'd at least hope a team brings him in during rookie camp to give him a long look because he's made the most of his opportunities this season which is what you want any player or goalie to do.

someone will take him in the late rounds and it will look like a genius pick next season. He is an extremely good goalie but played behind Ingram. I know he is on a lot of NHL scouts radars, so it just comes down to if they can convince the higher ups to draft him and take that chance.

I know a lot of NHL scouts travelled to see him while Ingram was off at WJC cause they knew he would be playing, and he was UNREAL in those games Ingram was gone

I would imagine that being a Top 5 goalie statistically in the WHL in his first year of eligibility would be enough to get him drafted but his run while Ingram was at the WJC just makes him look even more impressive. Surprised there hasn't been more talk about this guy.

alot of people just haven't seen him play. Blazers rely on Ingram so damn much this year and he is a massive reason for Kamloops success. And in the games Ferguson did play during WJC, people were talking about the WJC and whos been hot and not and not really watching too much of junior hockey. He has completely flown under the radar this season but I really do think a team will draft him and he will be a steal

He will be one of the best goalies in the WHL next season and everyone will wonder why he was drafted so late.. Mark my words

Vegas is loading up on great prospects. Good trade imo. Ferguson is underrated. People will look at the trade and think of him as a throw in but watch him be a WHL all-star next year.

I have him as the 2nd best WHL goalie headed into this season so yeah expectations are high

im still dumbfounded how he didn't get drafted till 7th round and also traded too haha... hes been on the radar as to potentially being really good before last season but was an unknown due to Ingram playing always. So then he gets his chance when Ingram went to WJC and was lights out and scouts were following the Blazers around everywhere watching him and he put on a show big time

he will be one of the better goalies in WHL this season... mark my words!!!

He was my draft pick to get overly excited about this year. Was pumped to have him in Dallas then we moved him. Dont get me wrong I love that we added Methot but Ferg had such great numbers for a 7th round pick

Got on my radar when Ingram was at the World Jrs. Impressive skill set. If he's lights out to start the season he should work himself into the conversation for a camp invite to the world jrs.

Looks pretty good in this preseason game. It's not against NHL'ers, but still a good sign. He's going to have a great year in the WHL.

Not a good start at all for Dylan. Going to need some lights out games to correct the numbers.
