I could swear I told people this guy was good. Knew he could outduel Askarov.

Full credit to you.I could swear I told people this guy was good. Knew he could outduel Askarov.

I wanted to go as far as saying at 6.4 the guy would be debated as better than Knight and Askarov but I knew it wouldn’t go well. If he was 6.4 and looked like this..... but we’ll never know.Full credit to you.
Pretty awesome to see Levi single-handedly turn what everyone assumed was Canada’s only weakness into potentially our greatest strength.
Let’s be careful with Levi (I’m a Florida fan so have been watching tape since he was drafted)I wanted to go as far as saying at 6.4 the guy would be debated as better than Knight and Askarov but I knew it wouldn’t go well. If he was 6.4 and looked like this..... but we’ll never know.
Northeastern has a great bunch of recruiting classes coming in. Should be a strong team in a strong div.Let’s be careful with Levi (I’m a Florida fan so have been watching tape since he was drafted)
He’s doing incredible and has shown great composure. Yet, there isn’t a tremendous amount of data for him against elite competition so opposing teams haven’t picked him apart in the same way. Let’s see how we feel about him about the NCAA tournament before comparing too much![]()
I’m guessing four potentially: I think Knight crowds the system for him so we’ll want Knight to be about the NHL backup before signing him (plan is for Knight to be signed after this year or next probably)Northeastern has a great bunch of recruiting classes coming in. He will be there 3 years I think.
My men’s league goalie would be undefeated too playing for canada.
This is idiotic. Your men’s league goalie would be lucky to see the puck.My men’s league goalie would be undefeated too playing for canada.
Could be, he’s grown so much in the past 2 years.I’m guessing four potentially: I think Knight crowds the system for him so we’ll want Knight to be about the NHL backup before signing him (plan is for Knight to be signed after this year or next probably)

Unless your goalie played Jr.A at minimum I doubt it.he could see the shots the Canada defense lets up. Zero high danger scoring chances.
I’ll take that bet to be honest: Florida is focusing a lot on development with its Goaltending Excellence Initiative and I could certainly see Levi as a future backup for a progressive minded organization like FloridaHe;ll never play an NHL game. He's done agood job behind a wicked team.
I think Pogge had way way more hype, this is a 7th rounder were talking about. He could be the next Carey Price, or the next Justin Pogge. Really hard to say from one tournament.
Pogge was also in his D+2 season who played in the WHL and drafted by Toronto so not perfect comparison in pedigree. What makes Levi interesting is how quickly he has progressed: I really can’t think of a goalie prospect like this before.I think Pogge had way way more hype, this is a 7th rounder were talking about.

Yea I think people need to understand like this is a guy who was always good I can’t stress that.Pogge was also in his D+2 season who played in the WHL and drafted by Toronto so not perfect comparison in pedigree. Pedigree, draft position is not what we are talking about here, it's his viability as a future NHLer. What he has done is amazing for him.
But just because he is having a great tournament does not necessarily make him a future starter in the NHL.
Hmm: so you’re arguing it’s more exposure than progressionYea I think people need to understand like this is a guy who was always good I can’t stress that.
He chose not to play in the Q. They wanted him.
Who the hell is saying he's gonna be a starter?
Ceiling for him is a couple years as a NHL backup, likely has a decent NCAA and AHL career
I don't think that is his ceiling. His ceiling is an NHL quality starter. He's a long shot prospect, but there is much to like about him. Definitely rooting for him.
