Great game, just too bad the Wild fell short.
Kap & Zucc strike again, both with 2 points, and with half of the shots on goal.

Can't lose against the desert dogs on Sunday.

For all that Dumba and Goli were on for all four goals, i can't find fault with them for any but maybe one goal.

First one JEE lost faceoff, Dman never had a chance to touch the puck, and covered reasonably well, forwards at fault.

Second, Kap lost puck by net leading to quick turnover- Kap, and mainly Fleury, at fault.

Third, Dumba was at fault, Goli did his job. Dumba coasted back to front of net. If he had hustled, he would've been there to cover goal scorer.

Fourth...more of a team breakdown. It seemed like it was Dewar, but really, if you like at it, Petan (defensive play is not one of his gifts)breaks down towards the goal line for no apparent reason rather than follow the play and clog up the slot, where he should have been.

BTW, Petan should NOT be in a defensive role. He should be playing with Boldy/Kap/Zucc, or not at all. He is an offensive player, for all that his NHL production is pretty lame.

Greenway-Gaudreau-Boldy

xG% of 2.1% yesterday.
Because we all know that Greenway is very effective with Ek and Moose, but not otherwise. We've seen this for three years. The GREEF line must be together, or Greenway's contract is money thrown away.

According to the adv stats:
The Greenway/Freddy G/Boldy (GGB) line with Goli/Dumba pairing were awful together. Dumba/Goli (even or + play) were fine without GGB, and GGB was fine (even play) without Goli/Dumba. The Tavares/Marner line just ate them up.

Technically Dumba did touch the puck with his knee and redirected it top corner over Fleury's glove.
Ah, didn't see that.

Greenway is inconsistent as hell, doesn't score, and can't stay on the ice. I was on board with him when he was young and there was hope of him realizing his potential, but right now I just don't see anything valuable in him. He's like a poor man's Charlie Coyle...teases you with what might be, but ultimately disappoints.
