I'd take a chance with him in Montréal, for a 1 year contract

We can't be that much worse anyway

On that stretch he literally scored at the same pace as for example Alex Belzile did last season, despite getting much better opportunities and more favorable deployement with better players. That’s not close to being good NHL player, unless you consider every one who is a replacement level player in NHL ”good”.

Also lol at earned, they literally gave him that top 6 position to try and get atleast something out of him because he isn’t good enough defensively to play bottom 6 role.

We'll said. I can't think of another player who got Mor unearned opportunities that Puljujarvi. And even when he wasn't spoon fed prime minutes with superstars, he was still failing farther down the lineup.

Puljujarvi is done. No GM will sign him unless its just a PTO as some kind of professional courtesy/favour.

Jesse has finally fully recovered from his major hip surgery. 4 pre-season games, 4 goals, 4 assists. Would look great on the wing of Edmonton's third line with his 800k salary...

Puljujarvi was a good third line fast winger who could forecheck. Still relatively young enough to help a team like the Oilers at the bottom of the lineup. Who knows maybe he finally breaks out ?

Hope he does. Seems like an affable and likeable guy.

Interesting career arc

NHL> 10 years in Kazakhstan in the KHL> real estate> current mayor of Grand Forks ND.

Yeah. He was a pretty damn good prospect, look at his NCAA and AHL stats, even his first 20 games with Ottawa. Had a good 2006-07 stretch with the Bruins, and many really good seasons in the AHL/KHL after that. Just weird that he didn't have more NHL success.
