NHL Entry Draft Future Draft Watch

Blake Fiddler is not really tough or 'hard to play against' in the typical sense of the phrase. He defends with his feet and stick.

Good player, though. Exceptional skating for his size. Moves the puck pretty well and can create shooting lanes for himself with his lateral mobility, but I can't see him as a point producer in the NHL. Projectable but not a high-end talent.

Best case is probably like a Connor Murphy type. Should have a long career as a complementary defender.

Fits a lot of what the Senators like. Projectability, size, athleticism, bloodlines, positional scarcity.

I like his length , he can skate/mobility, he can defend , displays high iq, can make a good 1st pass... not looking at him for offense or his toughness.
Could be a steady eddy type of reliable defender. Something the Sens may be able to use on the right side... Its hard to defend well in the NHL so it will be down the road a piece. He has a lot of characteristics to like. Doesn't have the offense or he wouldn't be available in that bottom 3rd of the draft.
Maybe in the mold of Brandon Carlo. Would not surprise me if he went earlier than 21.

Lakovic was noticeable in the Moose Jaw run last year, I think he scored 3/4 ot winners in their playoff run to the championship as a depth guy on a championship team

Never watched him this year, but he was an interesting profile when I watched them in their run and mem cup last year, wouldn’t surprise me for the Sens to be interested in him

I'm down to four players who I think will still be on the board at #21:
1. Spence LW
2. Kindel RW
3. Nesbitt C
4. Fiddler RD
