Shane Vansaghi RW - Power Forward

Shane Vansaghi RW - Power Forward

Posted about him back in the Fall.

Trained with the Tkachuks in St. Louis. Came out of the gate flying with 8 points in 10 NCAA games, after not doing much of anything on the USNTDP last year, but then only out up 8 points in his next 27 games.

Shouldn't be in consideration for our pick at #21 whatsoever, but with our scouting staff who the hell knows.

I've seen him late in the first & early in the second, he is still quite young & could be just on the cusp of breaking out, but your right he is a risk at #21 depending on who is left of course. He has those intangibles & work ethic that coaches love too.

I think the Sens should pass; Picking near 21. Aitcheson is close .. I doubt he's still there. Fiddler or Spence would be ok but they don't move the needle a whole bunch.. Fiddler likely to be a 3rd pair defense 1st player and Spence probably a 3rd line type .. which is ok he could be a 2-3 tweener at best.. I can see the scouts liking Spence's compete

Brady Martin looked quite good at the U-18’s.

Kindel stood out in the championship game as well

I’m assuming we are giving the pick up, but those are guy I’d be hopeful would be there at 21 should we keep it, though I think the train with Martin has sailed. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was a pick in the 7/8 range
