Ideally a 3rd or 4th line winger or 2 and maybe a solid #4/#5 RHD. The team is butter soft without Kane and with Brown in the AHL. Bonus points if your team can retain some cap.

Go offer your 2nd and 3rd round picks from the offer sheets to San Jose for Ceci retained at 50%.

If its a goon the Oilers need, I think Deslauriers might be be available.

Ross Johnston too, but I think the ducks want to keep him around as a 13th forward because they have a bunch of kids that need protecting if games start to get chippy

How hard were the young guys the Oilers lost to play against? It’s just not possible to replace that. Young guys provide “juice”, especially on nights when the club needs a boost. Call it mental toughness or functional toughness or hard to play against. The nhl is a young man’s game in this way.
I don’t think the Oilers can replace what they’ve lost very easily. Who do they trade that has enough value to bring back this youth?

I'd offer you The Sherriff...but i would empty your kingdom.

In case you are wondering how bad ass he is, his pinstripe on his suit says...F*** YOU...and he means it...and backs it up.

He also eats a lot...

If you can look past the "functional' part of your request, Reaves is likely the odd man out on the 4th line in Toronto and could be available.

Honestly, I think what you're asking for is more expensive than you may want to pay...especially if you need to be on the lower end financially.

Look at what guys like Jeannot and Cotter and your very own Mcleod returned this year. Prices are up on these type of pieces.

A 4 / 5 RHD has always been kind of pricey.

I would love WIFI on the Oilers. What's the ask for him?
The proverbial...more then you can imagine or want to pay.

He's literally publically declared that he is the Habs protector and if you hurt Hab players he will punish the offender or hurt your star.

He went out and proved it in a pre-season game. Sens player elbowed Dach, the guy didn't want to answer a challange so he went out and leveled the Sens star. (Stutzel)

And he's a pretty good 6th defenseman that is improving.

EVERYBODY on the Habs team loves what he does so it's impossible to trade him.

So you can see why it's going to cost a kingdom to get him.

Laughton and Hathaway. Either would be a good add for the Oilers. Sadly, the Flyers view them as core pieces. Risto if didn't have 3 years left might interest them as well.

Flip Savioe to the Flyers. Maybe Torts is a Nurse fan.
