Ive been watching this series and to me I think Mcdavid is over hyped ... Ill probably get flamed for saying it but hey w.e. He has the potential and skill but people are already calling him better then Crosby and I think they should slow their rolls.

I agree he's not as good a prospect Crosby was. That being said, he's still awesome and the best prospect since Crosby. Could still end up having about the same career as Crosby because of the concussions and better linemates.

There are certainly some aspects to his game where he is better than Crosby was at the same age. He's a special player, no doubt. But the NHL is another beast and he'll have to prove that he'll be that same player at that level. Something tells me he'll be fine. Look at what Tavares has done so far. I can see McDavid having a similar start to his career. Then at some point, he could be the best player in the world.

Tavares had alot of concern on his skating and that held him back, not to mention Mcdavid is more skilled and has higher hockey IQ.

McDavid will be an amazing player. I was pretty young when Crosby was playing in the Q and didn't have the chance to watch him then, so I can safely say McDavid is the best junior player I've ever seen. Time will tell whether ot not he'll be as good a Crosby, but it's definitely possible.

Yes I agree with this 100% ... I just find a lot of people already think that he is Gretzky.
