Swayman did miss camp, but to be honest, I think he was pretty good to start the year but the Bruins themselves were just kind of awful. His boxcars were bad, but analytically he was really good - just bruins were letting up a lot of chances and hanging him out to dry.
And then it kind of snowballed on him and he's gotten progressively worse and worse as the Bruins have gotten progressively better.
Statistically he's been in absolute free fall down this chart game after game. Ironically, this was probably one of his better games lately. Start of this road trip he had three Skinner vs Florida games straight.
I also think you're a little harsh on the Bs - Idk - they're a low event lunch pail club that I find hard to watch, but honestly I think they are kind of good in the same way a lot of those late 90s early 2000s Oilers clubs were good, just without the AHL budget thing. I think we're just spoiled with the talent level of our own club, tbh. I also think we deserve credit for making Marchand and Pasta look bad - outside of McDrai+Hyman/Nuge, they've been the highest scoring line in the NHL by a mile, and statistically they're just as good this year as they've been in years past.
