And I assume we're working on the idea that Husso's health can not be trusted at all. And I don't think we're trading him for that same reason

Vancouver is going to be pretty good next year if demko can get back. Debrusk at 5.5 for 7 years is not terrible so not sure why some of you wouldn't do that. Maybe 5 years but in the 6th and 7th year you could trade him and his contract will be minimal to nothing at that point.

We are going to have a ton of cap space next year with the way things are going here. Husso, Maatta, Petry, Fabbri and Kane all come off.

Sad no big splashes so far, not sure any will happen. But I get not going crazy on some of term that is required out there.

Honestly, that seems like a more Stevie way of doing business anyway. Because FA, you're at the mercy of the market and have to move fast and pay too much. Trades when you breathe and the other team is desperate to clear space now that they've landed an overpriced FA are the way to go.

Absolutely he should be. They have a deep system to make moves now. Solid, core moves. They should target guys like Askarov and Pinto. Assuming they like Askarov. Hearing there’s still something about Gibson being moved by Anaheim though, and the suitors have shrunk. Whether that means Detroit, who knows.

There’s trades to be made out there. You also don’t get the stupid term we’re seeing. Boston is going to despise this day in two years.

Yzerman has said he's not going with 3 goalies on the roster again. Husso is probably waiver proof and he could shuttle back and forth to GR if needed.

Just that he's shown that, if necessary, he can play 40-50 games a season is a huge plus.
