have the habs or preds confirmed any of those deals? there is a difference between dreger confirming deals thru 'sources' and brooks asking the rangers for confirmation

I'm not sure if this is true. We will see in 25 mins, but just because other teams do it, doesn't mean the Rangers want to.

If everyone cheats does it mean you should cheat too? The Rangers have always held themselves to a higher bar than any other team in the league. I for one, actually like the fact that they do their business this way. No one likes leaks coming out.

While this is true... the NYR don't operate and don't think of themselves like "other teams"

Other teams may leak. I think they feel they don't.

That is unless, it suits their needs. This may well be the case with Brooks' reporting that he would have to leave money on the table etc.

He's an offensive specialist.. He's been average-bad in the past couple playoffs.. He's the type of player the Rangers always get and I know how that story ends. A stanley cup contender doesn't use 6.9M$ on a PP specialist.

One of the main reasons we were knocked out this playoffs was because of poor defense. He doesn't change that, he possibly adds to it.

One of the other main reasons was our PP entries as well.

If you feel he's better defensively than Girardi or Holden then he does.

I'm not saying I want him or that he'll fix anything but that last line is untrue.
